Mass Effect [Game Thread - Concluded]

Jarrema is a great lynch.

Can you give us any reasons, or is this just gut instinct? The rules say post-death alignment reveals are truthful, so we can trust your intentions here. But whatever you're seeing that makes Jarrema a great lynch, I can't yet see it.

What made you think it was dangerous? And why would Red Spy have been a good choice if it was?

I know you've seen this Autolycus, so why aren't you answering me?

Agreed. At least say more than two words, CivGeneral.
Et tu, brute?
The reason why I stated that I'm abstaining is because I feel there is not enough evidence for to cast a vote. Since y'all insist on badgering me, I change my vote.

Vote:Takhisis

Fair enough, CivGeneral isn't acting any different from the way he usually acts, as scummy as his default behavior is.

Unvote, Vote: Jarrema

Visorslash can usually tell when Jarrema is mafia, and I'm inclined to trust his gut for now.

Suggestion to all:

Please reduce the *number* of votes on CivGeneral by 2.

The reason for this is related to the fact that the lynch is damage-based and the amount of damage is based on the number of votes against a candidate.

I've no objection to CivGeneral being the lead candidate, but 250+ damage is not necessary so early based on such reasons for the vote.

Perhaps a warning shot would be sufficient.

There is the advantage of less damage being done to others who have weaker arguments against them by overkilling CivG though.

I see CivG has at least taken a stance, even though it's without any reasoning apart from necessity.

MartinLuther and e350tb have both made votes for who to talk to and where to go without voting for anyone to be lynched, so if that doesn't change one of them will get my vote.

yyyy...
no?

Please do not do that. We need to lynch someone. Voting in a way that results in killing no-one is as bad as abstaining in vanilla mafia game, and you, ATPG, should realise it perfectly. That makes me think you are a scum.

Actually, wouldn't a lynch with three votes be the optimal? If the lynched player is a basic marine, he or she will die but if the player is an important character (I guess they have more health/shield (no PIS)) they will survive and can be investigated during the night. Kind of witch hunting with ordeal by water :mischief:

If player survives, then he is either mafia or power role. We learned almost nothing.
If he is killed, he was innocent in the first place.
So, you propose a lynch in which only vanilla townie can die.

Better solution would be if lynch candidate roleclaims. If he tells he has a power role, we would know that he is either mafia or important member of town without lynching him.

anyways, I need to read the wiki but Frozen in Ice that was super weak. Take some shield damage.

It's the first day, everybody's reason is weak. What matters most on a day like this is getting people talking and getting some reactions.

That is a terrible assumption IMO and an insult to my expertise as a marine.

Seriously? Independent of being right or wrong use your own head.

Ser, this is a great post but unfortunately is a post active scum would love to make.

No. Stick by your guns or vote no lynch.

You're really going to tell a bunch of abilityless marines to say eh maybe only do warning shots?

Granted all ya'll are just going to pretend to be marines like me when you're really not

Please elaborate on your choices.

If you wish.

I voted Harkin because Harkin directs you to Garrus, and I like Garrus. Plus Harkin may be a drunk but he knows some interesting things.

Gamewise, Therum is the best planet to visit first, both for gameplay and story reasons. You recruit a squadmate for the former and there are Reasons for the latter.

In the absence of tangible reasons to take particular action I will generally fall back on I would do in the game.

As for Takhisis, his reasoning is rather weak particularly when there have been more inactive people (albeit marginally).

Also, if you go to Therum last, your future squadmate is crazy and thinks you're a hallucination because she's been alone for so long.

First vote?

FishFinger of Suspicion: Takhisis
:rotfl:
frackin brown noser.

I'd bet you'd be the first to line up if Shepard asked someone to slice some frackin pepperoni. Never did understand why the mess hall is always full of that though....

You're engaging on OMGUS even after Atpg said that votes on you should be taken down.

What a flinch!

I'll quote this guy called SpockFederation and say:
SERIOUSLY?
As for Takhisis, his reasoning is rather weak particularly when there have been more inactive people (albeit marginally).
Again.

SERIOUSLY?

btw if no one's read the rules, we can always have a No lynch, as laid out in the game rules.

Doesn't No Lynch usually help the scum in these games?

Just to clarify, if "No Lynch" is in first-place, the 2nd and 3rd place candidates will still take the same amount of damage.
