Ya about the patch, Its got to be one of most look forward to In civ3 history, especially if a soundtrack comes eqpt! :)

Its such a clean mod as is though. Really I don't see a need other than to make a 'bonus addition'

To get the 11th Century scenario that comes with it. That's what I'm damn near drooling over.

YA they could re package and release like one those special edition bonus DVD's. Have some "unreleased material" in the form of units or wonders.
DVD carry video of sountrack's and interviews or special effect productions diarys
Meh, the modding industry can add the scenerios and new sountrack!
Boom! another money grab warrented :) or in this case, another peice of worldwide distrubtion obtained.

That would be a honour and good reward for me, to think my intellectual property is being played all over the world while my I eat a hamburger. SO many would be sayin ' wow this yoda and emyrodead are good modders' that ears would relentlessly ring

The long overdue patch is available to download in the first post of the thread. As usual, install it directly to your Conquests/Scenarios folder. I tried to keep to the original streamlined design so not quite everything made it in, but still there's a lot of new unit graphics and minor rule tweaks.

This update is backwards-compatible, that is, scenarios for MEM 1.1 work fine with 1.2.

Apart from the update, the first post also contains links to an updated version of the 11th century scenario as well as a new 13th century scenario.

I've re-upped the 11th century conquest file since it had a minor glitch (both old & new archers available to Turks/Mongols). Other files were ok!

Thank you Embryodead, you ruined my social life again.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but whenever my brother plays this when he loses his first city it immedietly says he suffered an expedition defeat. This has happened on the Western Europe and random maps. I've played Crusader states, the Hundred Years War, and the large europe map and haven't had the same problem. Also, all the writing is messed up.

Oh, and good job. Very nice.

Hello. Your brother is playing with "Elimination" rules turned on. You can turn them off in Player Setup screen :) This often happens in Civ3, after you play a scenario with custom rules the next modded game will use those rules by default, but again it can be simply changed back in the player setup screen.

Not sure what you mean by "all the writing is messed up"? If you mean that the text in the modded game is weird and doesn't match the original, it means you have an older version of Civ3. This mod is work correctly only with the latest Civ3 patch (1.22).

Jeez, Embryodead, just went I need to work at home and yesterday aledgedly finish a huge domination, 31 civ marathon with the Rus, you came with this new patch, just for the begining of the semester, too. Love the new units, but I'll miss setting my hole strategy on when the Serbians are going to build St. Sava. Anyway, the game looks tougher now, which is good enoght.

I'm playing 11th century scenario, not sure if this is an error or not. Playing as Italy.

When you learn military drill and can build Genosse crossbow men, once you learn merc. armies(which was the next tech I learned), you lose the ability to make Genosse crossbow men. Which leaves you stuck with only cavalry and swiss mercs till you learn the next tech that gives you another option(Swordsmanship), which is a bit away for me. I'm currently not there yet, so I'm stuck with just cavalry/swiss mercs and the trebucht I can no longer build the crossbow men which were amphibious.

I can make due with this, but I figured it was little odd being able to build a unit for only like 10 turns or however long it took me to learn the next tech.

So, figured I'd ask. If it's intended no biggie.

I've found 2 errors in the 13th C. file:
-Denmark-Norway and Sweden can build the Steppe spearman, whilst the Golden Horde cannot
-The Mamluk Cavalry has only 1 movement

I am playing Germany. I have conquered France and Burgandy and am in the process of subjugating Castile. I have long since achieved Chivalary, have a city (Paris) that has both horses and iron but cannot produce Chivalic Knights ( only Ritters). Any ideas about what's happenning?

that's because Ritters take the place of Chivalric Knights for Germany.... they're better

As Taras Bulba has said, the Ritter is the German Unique Unit and replaces the Chivalric Knight :)

@Virote_Considon

Thanks. It's fixed now and the 13th Century map has been re-uploaded.

I'll have to say, maybe you just missed it? I double-checked it in-game and I can build Genoese Crossbowmen fine with Merc. Armies discovered. There is really no possibility of them going obsolete with that tech since they upgrade to Arquebusiers, not Swiss Mercenaries.
