Medieval European Mod II 2016-10-05

Hello Yoda Power
If you are planing to on making more scenario's, I have an idea on the historical theme for one of them. It would be cool to have a scenario about the Norman conquest  of Southern Italy and Sicily. That is an important period in Medieval History, and an action packed:goodjob: one as wall. A scenario about it could make for some interesting game play.

Yes! Norman conquests would be brilliant!

There was a norman conquest scenario done by Johann Macleod ages ago but i couldnt get it to work, would be awesome to see it done here:D

Calm down, I still have a lot of work to do before Crusader States is finished, and then I was planning the Mongol Invasion one (which would be a bit faster to make though). At some point HYW needs an update too.

I'm simply not making any promises, because I already got more work than what I can handle. ;)

But that would be hard since I'm not home right now.

I'll see if I can post a screenie of my Antiochian Principality tomorrow, when I get home. :)

As promised.

I started with only two cities, but managed to capture further two early on. Then things went downhill, the Zangids decleared war and took my two new cities, and were very close to capture my capital too. Then after a long war I was finally able to make peace with them.

Now Latakia was in control of the Emirate of Damascus, so I decleared war on them and took the city. Then I was forced to fight with Armenia, as Jerusalem was in war with them, I managed to take Payas and Adana from them, before the war had ended. Suddenly the Zangids, who still hated me assaulted my forces near Alexandretta, and after a quick war I managed to take their capital Aleppo, which gave me a possibility to move my frontier further east, by capturing a city from Damascus. All looked great if not the Seljuks had suddenly attacked my two Armenian cities, and captured them. After alomost turns I succeded in taking Payas back, but they now allied themselves with Armenia, so I not sure if I can win this war, only time will tell.

The Crusader States is a scenario that can be quite hard sometimes, with intense warfare, and agressive AI's. It's possibly the best scenario I've been involved with so far, IMNSHO. :D

If my bastard son is just Orlando Bloom, then I don't think it's worth it. :ack:

Ok I discussed it with ED, and we decided that since ED is having a tiny civ break, caused by Italian linguists, we might aswell recruit some testers.

1) I only want people with some experience in playing the mod.
2) I only want people who I more less know from the forums. (sorry noobs, but often new people are not very reliable as testers)
3) I'm probably going to decline someone, but everyone is free to ask if they can be a tester.

:)

I`d apply, but I`m totally unreliable, plus my time is now divided on like.. 7 different fronts, and .. well.. I`m totally unreliable ;) But thanks for the opportunity. G`luck to ya guys! :D

Same here from my end, unfortunately :(

Can't wait to play it when it's out, though!

I would definitely love to help with playtesting, and definitely would have signed up for it were the summer vacation not coming to its end. But as is my luck, school starts tommorow again and I'm in my final year of schooling. I'm getting my German "Gymnasium" done and need to concentrate on schooling almost purely for the next year or so. After that, I can relax a bit. Of course I won't playing Civ completely, but I definitely won't have time to help with playtesting.

Sorry but best of luck!

Yoda, I am, like, totally in, if you'll have me that is.
Please, please, please, please, oh puhleeeezzzzzee!

I don't know if I qualify as "noob", definitively don't post that often (basically only here and at the AoI post), but if needed I can help as well. Although I would like some general idea about how time-consuming it might be..

Hey, im game, exams arent for another 3 months yet:D

Count me in.

The Byzantine empire of 1418, in the end of the massive 20-turn war against Kiev, the Abasids, France and Sicily..

The greatest conquest had been in the Caucasus, where two late knight armies took in the end 10 kievan cities, although at some point a single crossbowman killed one of them that had 7 HP.
