Mini-NotW IV: I'm on a Boat (GAME THREAD)

If we have established that perhaps the Guard in't as guilty as we thought, I'd like to change my vote of support to an accusation against the Quatermaster, Methos. He has been awful quite of late, and I've known a few men who exibited that trait just before they went insane.

Edit: Forgot some bolding

Oops. i retract my vote as well. sorry for that :(

Has anybody considered BananaLee, the bodyguard? Assuming he isn't the killer Bratmon would probably know better, but until I hear good evidence against it I will consider him a suspect.

Neverwonagame3, why do you accuse the Bodyguard without listing any evidence? Do you wish to get rid of all strong people prepared to fight the wolf so that you can take the ship at your leisure?

Well is written in the public post I would like the royal Guard to speak up and make his version of tonights events public.

After all there might be something to learn from for all of us.

Icekommander has only listed lack of virtue, it should be pointed out. If as the rumors say the Royal Guard was attacked and not the attacker, then we know the killer was a strong man.

Swords and Armor... these instruments of war have no place here. Let me, the diplomat, confiscate both and I assure everyone neither shall ever again see the light of day. Without these instruments, my poorly chosen Royal Guard would have never been able to assault this peaceful caravan.

I strongly disagree with that logic. The wolf has obviously plenty enough abilities of his own top attack people. So getting rid of weapons only depraves ourselves of means of defense. I am willing to vote these items to anyone who can lay a legimate claim to these things. Until then I won't mind having the Armor to myself.

No, we know that the killer is WEAKER than the Royal Guard as the Royal Guard survived the encounter. And besides, from all the claw marks and the signs indicating that the captain was actually eaten seems to point out clearly to me that the one that attacked the Royal Guard is no ordinary human. Ordinary humans don't eat other people alive. Your arguement fails on that point.

The killer must be strong- or else why would they dare attack a Royal Guard? Anyway, they defeated a Mercenary in battle.

As you said, this phenomenon is not ordinary. But whether this is a mere madman (unlikely, but hopefully so) or a supernatural creature, we do not know that it has supernatural strength. Until we see evidence of this, we should not conclude it.

First how do you know that the Royal Guard was attacked by a killer? Nobody has stated anything ion that direction so far. The killer was obviously successful last night killing a mercenary which sounds quite strong to me.

And on the other hand if your assumption is true and the wolf can be turned down by a strong character, it would be even more sensible to use the weapons, as they usually give strength and might help somebody else to survive a nights attack.

I'll claim the great sword; what use must a diplomat have for weapons? That only shows that he is not much of a diplomat, in my eyes.

My thoughts exactly. Neverwonagame, you who know every nook and cranny on board this boat would be type able to surprise the Royal Guard and hurt him quite badly. Clearly, if there was a scuffle, there'd be enough noise to wake us up.

With regards to the greatsword, it should go to someone who is able to use it. I'd suggest myself becaues the Royal Guard is too injured to do anything. Or perhaps we should let the Captain choose who it goes to?

"Let the sword go to one who knows how to use it. That would seem to be you, BananaLee. The armor can go to the Diplomat, though, for all the good it did its last owner. I want to hear the Royal Guard's account of last night's events before I accuse anyone."

(OOC: Kulko, Sword votes are in red. You used blue - that's the armour.)

The wench looks around at all the people accusing each other, apparently on random suspicions. After a while, she speaks up: "Listen boys, can't you lay off Neverwonagame3 for a while? He's at least making noise. I like men (and, agreed, in rare cases even women) who make noise. People unlike Methos, who isn't really making any right now.

"CCRunner, you say that the Royal Guard serves you? If that is the case, you do not need an armour. Rather, give it to Kulko. If the Royal Guard is in a condition to use the sword, he should have it. Otherwise, BananaLee can claim it. Bratmon?"

"The diplomat needs no protection," says Arakha, "if he has his bodyguard. Give the sword to someone who can use it, say our new captain, Chandrasekhar, and the armour to someone who needs protection, like me." She sniffles sadly and seems to almost shrivel away.

Perking up, she adds, "I too think that Quartermaster Methos should explain why he let weapons of war be so misused when he is allegedly in charge of ship's stores."

Okay, I have nothing to hide. Last night, I was keeping careful watch over the diplomat, and I was attacked. I was only just able to fend my attacker off. I vote the sword to me and the diplomat can have the armor. My attacker was hooded, and I don't know who he is.

"Quartermaster, explain yourself. Silence is rarely good for a person."

The slave rubs one of his arms, where lashes are still visible.

"Well, except for me. I only have to say one wrong word..."

The merchant's wife comes over to the slave and lays on his shoulder. "My husband does beat you so, I'm afraid. I wish it were not so."

Merchant looks indignant "I don't beat him up that often compared to some other merchants I know..."
