MoshIOT 2 - Don't just stand there, come in!

it's cool, I'm fine having a neighbor. Claims will be in tomorrow, probably.

Hmm, interesting a universe where Austrian Emperor of Mexico Maximilian (Me) survived and successively lead the Mexican people in making them a great power, and a universe where the CSA returned (McWinniage). This is going to be interesting. :D

Oh i also updated my post :p

Edit: upon closer inspection i have seen that Kinich-Ahau has claimed Yucatan and Mesoamerica before me, if he wishes me to I am willing to discard The Empire of Mexico and create a new Nation, however if he doesn't find objection to my claims or is willing to live with a neighbor then I will stay as the Empire of Mexico

(Don't ask me where the United States went. I really don't want to invent a bad back story for what happened to them, either.)

Would you mind terribly if I came in as them? I've never tried playing a simple base nation like that. We could even tweak the history for a nice split into the 3 successor nations of The Czardom of Amerika, The New Confederation of America and The United States of America (I may make the USA more British Empire or something.)

It would be a tad cramped but provided no one else jumps in we should be fine.

If not then I would like to Bagsee Australia for an Empire.

Claiming modern Poland. Backstory and map to follow.

I am adding slightly to the ruleset -

Major NPCs - Pretty much player nations that are controlled by me, they can influence other NPCs.

NPC Personality Traits:

When I create NPCs to fill in the map once signups are done, I will roll a d100 to determine 2 personality traits for each NPC. Each NPC will have a different primary religion depending on who the closest PC player is or, if there are none nearby, I'll decide it arbitrarily.

List of NPC traits -

Xenophobic: Unfriendly to people of other religions or ethnicities.

Zealous: Will support anyone of their own religion barring extremely poor relations, but are likely to attack those of a different religion.

Maritime: Focused on the naval side of things, they are more likely to attempt to establish protectorates (if they are Major NPCs) or seek protection (if minor). Only nations with a port can be maritime.

Imperial: Will attempt to establish other NPC protectorates, invade weak players/NPCs, etc. Only available to Major NPCs.

Primitive: They are not very technologically advanced and suffer penalties for attacking (but are just as effective on the defense). They are usually closed to outsiders, but if you offer them technology, they will be very friendly with you. Cannot research unless uplifted. Only minor NPCs can receive this trait.

Secular: Don't much care for religion, they are usually open and progressive. Tend to focus more on research and less on the military side of things.

Aggressive: Prone to attacking neighbors and building up large armies, these NPCs can and will attack other NPCs (and players, if they view them as weak enough). Keep them at arms length.

Cultured: These NPCs are harder to influence, but whoever has the most influence in these NPCs will receive a free 10 IP they can use on another NPC. If a major NPC receives this trait, they can use the 10 IP bonus.

Unionist - They are ultra friendly to major powers inside their cultural area (ie, a Chinese NPC with this trait will be friendly to the most powerful Chinese nation in China) and are, at a high enough IP, willing to unite with a strong player of the same region/culture. Unfriendly to other cultures. Only minor NPCs can receive this trait.

Industrial - Will focus heavily on industrialization and will generally have a high IC. Bonus IP to those who help grow their industry.

I have no problem with you staying; just avoid initiating hostilities & we should be good.

THE JAVA CONFEDERATION

Location:

Flag:

Flag_of_Cirebon_Sultanate.jpg

Religion (official): Sunni Islam (Hinduism and Buddhism are also widespread in the islands)

Government: Java is full of local lords and is held back by a lot of regionalism and power-grabbing, but is lead by a new Sultanate which is attempting to assert its control over the island. The Sultan (theoretically) holds absolute power, and is also the religious authority in the region.

Sultan: Ngabdurohman Soegijopranoto I

Currency: Gold Lions

Official Language: Javanese

Capital: Jakarta

Domestic policy: General conservatism across the board.

History: After the collapse of the Dutch East Indies, a lot of oppurtunistic lords attempted to gain a lot of power. While Ngabdurohman Soegijopranoto I would quickly become Sultan over Java, but still has to deal with local lords and regionalism taking hold over his new dominion, even with his local alliances which helped him gain control over Java. The whites in the area could also pose opportunities and threats, but it's unknown how they will react to this new Sultanate.

Ugh, Major NPCs? I thought we'd all learned that lesson from Tani's games.

The Indo-Anglican Empire

Location:

civmap.png

Religion (unofficial): Buddhism, although some citizens are Poly and Mono -Theist.

Government: An Elected Absolute Monarchy, although most government is delegated to a College of Nobles. No titles are hereditary, but all are lifelong.

Empress: Mahara II

Currency: The Pound

Official Language: Proper English

Capital: London

Domestic policy: Rigid social structures with medium turnover

A Brief History: ...The nearly successful revolt of Royal India in the early 17th Century caused King Edward III to rethink his stance on Anglo superiority over native cultures. This proved to be a mistake, as the Empire entered many sided civil war over the proper makeup of an English gentleman. When the guns were finally laid down almost a decade later, a group of recently elevated Hindus held the support of most of the major economic centers in the home islands, and some of the country peasants. The conquests of the British had separated from the Empire. After intense restructuring, Empress Mahara intends to restore the glory of the Crown.

I still think Robert and Linkman did NPCs the best. Mesquite smoked and wrapped in bacon.

Sorry for the delay, just letting you know I'm still here. Tonight I'll upload the map and history.
