Most ignorant(and funny) statements you have ever heard

"I don't see and I've never seen people destroying the enviroment."

Václav Klaus, the self-appointed head of worldwide anti-ecologist movement and (unfortunately) the president of the Czech Republic.
Don't feel bad about the way Formie is dealing with you. Fortunately, he even won't see me writing this. :smoke:
But yeah, still dumb qoute in any case.

American tourists overheard on the London Underground:

"Gee. We came all the way from Iowa to see Big Ben and found out its just a darn clock."

"I'm telling you it was a £20 note. It's got the Queen's head on it. (Wife) George, I think they all have."

"I wonder when when the next tube leaves for Cornwall?" (Yup, 300 miles and under ground all the way.)

"What do you mean leave the country?"

The girl I was talking to didn't understand that Africa or Europe wasn't a State.

Looks like he never heard of

First garbage day reference I actually laughed at. Most of the time, such comments would be worthy of this thread.

I like how the picture of him in African dress is suggested to have happened after he won the presidential election.

The lists of why he's a muslim before everything else in the article is also great hilarity.

They even have an article on a three word quote by him. :rotfl:
I find their subarticle about his religion even funnier. They go through a Life magazine about his faith and debunk it based on assumptions and lack of sources. For example when it says Obama Sr. was an atheist, it simply says that very few Kenyans are atheists, so Obama's father must have been a Muslim. By the same logic, very few children of East African officials and white bread students whose parents divorce early in their life and move them to Indonesia for several years and moving back to America where they're largely raised by their grandparents launch successful political careers, so there's no way this Obama guy can be president. It makes me wonder why they're making such a big deal about him.

Several kids in my good old World History class:

- (when talking about Pearl Harbor) "So after the Japanese bombed us, did that mean they declared war?"

- (concerning Hitler's invasion of Luxembourg/Belgium/something in WWII) "Isn't it against the rules to attack a neutral country?" (yeah, of course, even Hitler plans by the rules)

- (after the teacher told us about the Russian front in WWII) "So did the Russians [and Germans] try to move the civilians out of the way before the fighting started [so that no one would get hurt]?" (of course both sides have time to save everybody innocent before they blow each other to pieces...)

- (when we were talking about life in Russia under Stalin) "Didn't people try to escape Russia when Stalin was in power?" (of course its very easy to escape a country if Stalin is in power!)

And this one wasn't said in history class, but by one of my friends, who actually is a pretty intelligent guy who just was unlucky not to have a very good historical background:

- "They actually had guns in the 1800s?"

(when I corrected him, he immediately acknowledged his lack of knowledge in the area)

"If you don't do well in school, you'll have to work as a cashier for the rest of your life. You won't be able to live in a nice place - you'll have to live in a drug infested ghetto filled with Hispanics and Black people."

"I'm abstaining from sex, because I'm Christian and you'll go to Hell if you have sex." -Someone to be kept anonymous

"Condoms will increase the STD problem" -The Pope, paraphrased.

"So like, people were using spears during the Russian Revolution?" -Horrible History Student

How can you call him "intelligent" after THIS?

...but a great civ player.

This is good news, Comrade president. When the Ryugyong Hotel will be finished, it will be the one of grandioses bildings in the world, highter than Eiffel Tower in Paris and Le Burj Al Arab in Duba

An excellent report from the Comrade President, and the photographs are crystal clear in showing the rapid advances, despite the setbacks of the 90's, that have been made and it is a perfect example of what can be achieved under socialism .

I personally and genuinely look forward to staying at the new hotel when it is open.

I 'm going to NK this summer, I think somebody could make some comments on the current Pyongyang hotels.

In 2012 we plan to unveil to the world the opening of a new prosperous socialist nation, unveiling the secrets that will make of the DPRK the next asian tiger in economy.

Compare to western elections, the DPRK socialist democratic system is fair, simple, effective and much cleaner. No massive fund rising, no dirty campaigns or any types of scandals. In Australia we just had a "secret photo scandals". It was really disgusting that someone sold some nude photoes of a racialist party female leader, who will start her state electioncampaign (involving with money and slanders ONLY) to national-wide news presse. Although I doubt that those nude photoes were actually her, as the life of capitalist medias always relies on making terrible news to threaten readers, none of them are being honest to the public.

What I am curiously interested in is why people living in such dishonest society still trust those stupid puppets of captialist explorioters, while the true democracy and justice have been set up in the DPRK---a workers' paradise since long time ago.

AND, as my assessment goes on, I will be away from few days, not sure when I can sign in again, miss you all, comrades!
