I just thought of something interesting: What would be the highest possible production/commerce/food a tile could have? How about the highest combination of the three?

I thought of this after seeing my river tile town during a golden age (9 commerce). What if I were Financial? In that case, 10 commerce! That's two bags of cash on a single tile!
If anyone's got anything better or any ideas of the most production (iron on a plains hill during a golden age?), please post here.

Riverside strat Plains hill with levee is 9 hammers during a golden age.

My guess is the best pound for pound tile might be a watermilled Flood plain with a FIN leader, all bonus techs (Rep Parts, Electricity), State Property, a levee, during a golden age. Tested, it's 4F,5H,5c. So 14 yield. Riverside PH start is with bonuses and Fin is 13 yield (9H4C). However, the food from the watermilled floodplain pays for specialist.

Interesting though would be placing an improvement like a watermill on a riverside resource of some sort, like grass ivory, plains horse or plains wine.

Best commerce tiles are flood plains. Plop a cottage on them, and you are getting 8 gold from them once they are towns. As FIN, that's 9 gold. Then add a golden age on top of that...and the 3 food you get from them isn't bad either.

How about highest-yield non-WB non-random-event water tiles? I've always wanted to see coastal fish (3:food:/2:commerce:) while playing as dutch (FIN=+1:commerce:) with workboat(+2:food:) lighthouse(+1:food:) dike(+1:hammers:) moai(+1:hammers:) colossus(+1:commerce:) golden age(+1:hammers:/+1:commerce:) for 6:food:3:hammers:5:commerce: water tiles:drool:. Has anyone ever tried this and are there screenshots somewhere?

^^^Not a bad tile indeed. Matches the watermill FP in total yield, yet pays for 2 specialists. Of course, it's very situational..ha...and would require you forgo Willie's UU to keep Colossus by that time.

I almost have that in a game I'm playing now, but I'm the Inca so miss out on 1 hammer from the dyke. Latest Colossus ever though as I only bult it when I noticed no one else had in about 750 AD.
