this is looking good, let's settle the incense hill and go for GL.
 
If UPS delivers me tomorrow I should be able to take it. Expect update sometime in the day. It'll take a while while I configure it but probably tomorrow night.
 
Nice job Leha. This is war and we will take hits, this one was a good and well calculated one.

I take it that by incan you meant mayan though ;)

Whoopsy, right. I always confuse between Inca and Maya, they both spell "trouble" in my solo games.

Sorry for bluffing you guys but UPS didn't deliver it... I guess that it'll be done soon (or someone will pass some very nasty minutes on telephone with me), but can't engage myself with a date. I don't want to delay the game, skip me and I guess it'll be fine when I'm up again... Sorry again.

- The only thing I'm concerned about at the moment (besides that Pyramid thing...) is that Bookstore is only size 3. The AI totally sucks at researching Lit and building the GL, but I think we should build some workers from Istanbul (our Granary city) after it finish the settler. These can improve the land and join to population. We only have 2 workers which is way too few anyway.

A worker sent to road the horses (off bookstore's cultural borders) spots celtic frontiers to the SW.

Clear a few units, MM and rotate garrisson for a lux drop to 20, math in 9 at current rate

The Save
 
This moved fast in the past 24 hours :) .

I think researching Horses and Mathematics were both mistakes. We will only build a few if any horses and the GL should give us math before any catapults are made. That's a good amount of gold we could have saved.

Istanbul should finish the spear, then switch to worker or settler. I would like this city to biuild entirely workers and settlers and only military in a rare case. It should not reach population 7. As long as there are unimproved tiles in our core cities, or settlers needed, this should continue.

After Bookstore finishes the GL, take settlers/workers off there as well, or hire taxmen so we are not paying an extra 10% luxury just for one city's happiness.

Switch the build in Izmit from a spear - no barracks there. We could build a curragh there and start mapping our coast.

Overall I think we're doing really well. I am only concerned about facing the Maya and Celts GA's.

I think researching Horses and Mathematics were both mistakes.
I don't think so, since we cannot assume we will get the GL automatically. A wonder cascade is all it needs and your GL is toast. good to have a backup until we are safe.

Also, it is vital to know where horses are, they aren't a waste. Horses can be good if you want to prevent exposed units or need faster response. A mix of units is always better to have.

Now, we should build up some force and start expanding towards the enemy. It is crucial for AW to never stop expanding
