America (Hard Times Come Again No More) - 8 (7+1) How can anyone downvote this? It’s epic and patriotic and creates powerful imagery. Ancient Era makes me think of pilgrims landing at Plymouth and setting up colonies. Medieval is pioneers trailblazing the Western frontier. Then, America industrializes and becomes a world power, and finally the Atomic theme plays during a huge celebration down the streets of New York or Hollywood.

As others have pointed out, it perfectly suits America's patriotic spirit and I could easily imagine this song being played while going over the various American landscapes. Also love how the atomic version sounds Superman-esque at a few points!

America (Hard Times Come Again No More) - 6 (5+1) Still my favorite here. Still worth saving. I'm happy to see so many people upvoting this with real solid reasons. It is a perfect fit to what an American theme should be, and I think the feeling of progress also captures what Civ is about.
