Napoleon of France : 3D animated, era specific leaderhead.

The R8XFT "to do" list includes ... Leopold of Belgium

wich one ?

Leopold II, the "builder king", would be the best choice. He did a lot, gave us Congo,... And with his beard, he has a great look :D

You could also choose Albert I, the "knight king", who fought against the Gemrans in WWI.

You should advoid Leopold III because he was nothing but a traitor and he collaborated with Hitler.

I'm actually doing Leopold I - not by choice, it was a specific request I promised to do for Goldflash.

Sorry to come back with this [offtopic] but I don't agree to let french historical symbols in the hands of extremits !! Joan of Arc is one of our historical woman and I don't want that some people in France take her for them alone ... BTW Charles De Gaulle would have be a better leader for France in the game !! Ohh ! I didn't respect my rule : no [offtopic].. sorry ...

there's nothing you can do about it...
In Italy our national flag is considered a fascist symbol in the football.
I don't agree with it, but I must face the fact that fascists ultras go to the stadium with italian flags.

quite nice, your napolean, and probably very helpful for scenarios. however, he seems to look like a funny guy.
for those, who want to dispose Joan: i think firaxis wanted to put some women into the game, and joan is one of the few. the values of the french revolution in 1789 where symbolized by a woman, too: think of this famous painting "Liberty leading the People" by Eugene Delacroix.

There seems to be a metaphorical connection between the state of France and a feministic symbolism. I'll keep Joan :) ....

C'est manifique! Perhaps a Luois XIV leaderhead would be needed, and the Verseilles wonder would certainly be delightful.

I asked Supa who would be the Best for Belgium and he said 'Leopold I'. Leo I and Leo II were the best choices, and I decided on Leo I.

The modern era looks a little bit sterotypical, but that's alright. Everyone always looks silly in the eras that are not theirown (just look at Ghandi in the industrial era). At least he's not carrying a giant bagette.

thanks R8FXT, i've already seen your lenin leaderhead, it was great. Your the first person to make the leaderheads that i so desperately want. I'm sorry, but the originials (Joan of arc and Catherine) were terrible choices that the makers of the game seem to put in ONLY to have some variety on male and female leaders. I mean, joan of arc was even a leader of ANY sort. Hey, we cant help it if all great leaders were men. Thanks again, i expect good things from you.

Thanks, but I've not done Lenin - perhaps you meant Drift's version.

I appreciate your comments, except for your feeling that all great leaders were men - there's been some great female leaders ;) .

Firaxis made some strange choices for leaders. But I guess it's simply because some of those leaders are the most well-known by the average person. Cleopatra is almost always associated with Egypt, though she was of the Ptolemies, a Greek dynasty. They should have used Hatshepsut for Egypt, as she was a very capable administrator. I'm also kind of surprised that they didn't have Napoleon Bonaparte as the French leaderhead to begin with.

I'm sure that in the history of every civilization, you will find at least some manner of competent leadership from members of both genders (even though I can't think of a good female American leader...First Lady Elenor Roosevelt, maybe? I suppose that would be kind of like having Theodora, rather than Justinian as the Byzantine leader)

There was a list of great female leaders compiled here a while back. The list included Empress Wu of China, Empress Suiko of Japan, Hatshepsut of Egypt, and Indira Gandhi of India.

Problably they aren't choos Napo because they think that he was a semi-dictator. And this is because there aren't Stalin 4 russia.

I would have put Lenin rather than Stalin for Russia, even though he wasn't around for very long.

There are any number of French leaders who could be better than Joan of Arc (Napoleon, Louis XIV. Charles De Gaulle <even though I don't like him> and even Cardinal Richelieu all spring to mind), but if they replaced her and Catherine, that wouldn't leave many women.
Personally, I like having female leaders whenever possible.
