I agree: the trousers are a bit horrible, but otherwise it looks good to go.

How about making the pants striped like kinboat's Landsknecht or Cuchulainn, and civ-colored. And then make the shirt off-white so it would be like padded armor under the breast plate.

Where'd you get the helmet? And did you just piece together the crossbow, or is it new?

First of all, OMG. THAT is NOT my request. THAT is even BETTER, it is something I dared not ask for, because I thought there isn`t a conquistador style helmet prop available!!!! You are amazing!

I was saving this (exactly like this!!!, OMG this is so freaky) for someone else, maybe even myself when I found the suitable props.

Are those available? I need it for some more units of that style.

PS:No stripes for this one please, I have planned enough of those. Brown would be good

Yes, those pants weren't quite working. How about a solid dark green? Brown will blend with the crossbow, and make it hard to see in some directions.

The crossbow was hobbled together from a crossbow prop I have and one of Utah's great bows. I can't remember where I got the helmet, but it was a free .3ds file from some site.

Some ideas

I would suggest to use the kind of pants of the firs picture, a bit puffy, with either strips (that could be civ colored), or then one leg yellow, one leg red, for instance.

But the pants in the first picture are brown I request single color please. Making every rennesaince unit (I do have many others planned, you know, I just talked to Navy_Dawg about this one cos he`s the shooty unit master ) in stripes and diagonal color fields would just be.. annoying IMO.

The boots are a bit strange - but there are those other boots, the ones wher the upper part is folded, like pirates had? Those would be good, no?

Conquistadors didn't have big puffy striped Elizabethan style pants anyways.

The Green looks fine IMO, seeing as Conquistadors were a hodge-podge of soldiers that bought their own gear. No two looked the same. So, green, for the sake of the unit not blending, is perfectly fine!
