Dateline Paris. South America is at peace again. The European powers have again flexed their conspicuous muscles and put the upstart Agentinians and Columbians in their place. Clearly the great powers will enforce the status quo politics of their Eurocentric point of view with men and arms.
This is good news for those who love peace and the continuation of prosperity all across the globe. President Ambrose's weekly radio chat with the UCC people praised the quick end to the violence and expressed hope that the new nation of Panama would soon gain full independence and come out from under the "protective" wing of France and join the free nations of the Americas.

President Ambrose announced today that the the US President and First Family will vacation at the Grand Canyon of the Colorado in the coming week. A red carpet welcome is planned for the First Family with live radio coverage of the visit. President Ambrose will on hand for the arrival of the Desert Chief when it pulls into the Flagstaff station on Tuesday. A motorcade to the canyon is planned. We don't know if the two presidents will meet formally or if the recent South American war will be discussed....
