NES Chatroom

There is now a NES chatroom, in mIRC called #NES.

To join from java:
1: On the op of the forum next to User CP there is a button called Chat, click it.
2: Type in your nick, and under channel type in NES. If this doesnt work, typing in " /join #NES "
3: There should be people there right this moment!

If you good with IRC, just join channel #NES on server irc.irc-chat.net

Okay, a few things.

•Who gets op privileges? I made the room, so Im admin. Can't take that away from me.
•The room is very lax, thats the point of the thing. But excessive flooding and too much flamig will get you kicked. Moderating of the room may happen if alot of people are being naughty at once. Everyone knows im not a stickler for the rules, so dont worry too much about power mongering.
•I dont really think we need to advertise this, its stickied!

Some other commands:
/nick <name> changes your nick
/slap <name> slaps the selected person with a large trout
/me turns your type into red and is acted like *type typed like this*
/join <channel name> joins selected channel

On the left side of the site, among the different links, there's a link 'Download mIRC' click on that.

If you are using mIRC, drag your mouse to the right side of the screen where is the list of persons who are in the channel. Drag your cursor in top of the person's name you want to slap, press the right button of the mouse, and chooce "slap".

Think he means the command line MjM posted... which indeed is not a regular command unless it's scripted into the client.

I think I should totally get op privileges because I'm an op of an irc channel which I would advertise in a slick userbar. I'm also an admin of said irc channel forum, which makes me cool =P

But, aside from a self-plug, you can ask me about IRC related things and I'll do my best to help. I happen to use mIRC exclusively, but I can help with Opera IRC and Firefox's Chatzilla as well as the IRC client that Trillian offers.

well I press the chat button and it opens up a seperate window but I get a red X thing. probably because of the firewall I think we got a new one.
