Yes tanks, nukes and polar bears all over again!!!

Whoah, so your telling me the Han Revolution succeeded? Awesome possum.

Still, I cant tell you what to do. Except dont do NES2 II, I can tell you that ;)

So basically....ITNES Restart, completely new ITNES, new Althist, or a BT for this one would be fine.

How far should we go with the BT?I'm kinda feeling OTL WW1 era would be interesting.Maybe even later 50s maybe, kinda cold war with a twist? /random babble

ITNES Restart.. I want to get Hong Kong back where it should be.

And yes, final update. Then post-war world. Then awards, I think this NES has already broken down due to the recent flame war and stuff.

And I think Finnmaster sorta hopped on to the "no, you suck you can't play" stage a bit too late. No offence.

I think taking it to 1890 or 1900 would be nice - veterns of the the 'Great War' will still be around, but manpower and industry will have recovered, they are a nice round numbers, some people will be just getting into the Late Industrial (my bets - Sweden and the FK as the technological leaders), and we should have a good run before nukes show up and push us into a boring cold war/apocalypse.

Also das - I fail to see how my troops would reach the indian ocean unless the FK does very badly in that theatre...which is why we need an update to see it :D!

Btw, just in case I DO do the update - did Italy declare war on France?

No I did not. Although I am aware of French plans to dominate Italy, I can't really do anything at the moment with the current state of Italy.

EDIT:

On ending this, I think the players deserve an update and if anything just a brief outline of the campaigns if your to tired. Finally I'm of two minds on stopping this with awards, on the one hand i want to redeem myself, on the other I want to play Olmecia. :D

i want to redeem myself,

Italy needs some good times - has there been any year of this decade when it hasn't been at war with itself or others?

Remember of course das that the choice is yours - you are such a great moderator, and even more importantly; such a consistent moderator that the people will follow you where ever you might lead us (NES wise of course ;))

Heck we can even do a alternative history of this althis, some major turning points that could have gone differently IMHO ;)
1. 1862 Balajit Singh does not reconcil with the FK so readily and the First Federate army is crushed. The Central asian war goes on several years longer, still with eventual Federate victory, but the Chinese make more gains, and Persia is greatly weakened or destroyed/taken over by the FK. When the Great War starts France and China are stronger (France having had more time to recover from its rebellions), but the Ottomans still exist as a major player.
2. 1866 Federate infomation less perfect, defeating the French invasion readily thanks to overwhelming naval power but not being able to mount a counterattack on France till the following year. Much stronger France as a unified entity, Federate victory in the Colonies, but France makes gains in europe and the Med.
3. 1867 Qing China invades India and Siam right away instead of Dalnorossia, loosing ground in Central Asia and Manchuria and to the White lotus, but not as much, may even sign peace again. but the Federates loose India, making the later Federate assults on Persia much less effective...

@das: yeah maybe I said it a bit too harshly. But that kind of whining just annoys me, that's all. I don't think Italy has declared war on France? But that's something you need to ask from kal.. and Wilhelmus's fate will be seen in that last story of mine once I post it ;)

@Bananalee: Non taken, since I fail to understand the meaning of your message. Maybe it's my bad English.. perhaps you'd like to clarify? What is this "you suck you can't play" stage you are talking about and how come I hopped on it too late?

The majority seems to be for one last update and a BT after that.

There are two big problems with that, though:
1) The one last update doesn't seem to have much of a point behind it, or at least a pretty large part of it doesn't.
2) The BT, after I thought about it some more, is very problematic as well because the post-war situation is highly unpredictable, and hardly qualifies as a BT.

And besides, I'm really not in the mood for this stuff right now (modding this NES, or any for that matter, but the second problem is easily resolved with a minor break and a new beginning).

So, its much easier to just kill this right now (don't worry, if I do kill it I'll still: a) give some information on how everything ended, giving information isn't too hard, the stats and the detailed write-up is what's difficult, b) do the awards and c) will possibly one day revive this). On the other hand, that would be way too anticlimatic and inconsistant.

As for the update itself, its going along rather slowly - not much inspiration, which is one of the main reasons I brought up this question.

Yeah, one update won't matter (even for Geneva, as I took a defencive stand for this turn). So if you are planning to quit this, u might as well do it now. My most favourite scenario, however, would be for you to continue this for many, many more turn to come :)

Taking ITNES from hiatus might be fun too. Dacia was left in an interresting condition when ITNES ended and I'd like to continue playing with it..

Well whatever you want to do das, you're in charge afterall! A map or something would be nice too ;), but if a BT occurs then we won't really be needing stats. I don't think that much will happen for at least a decade, except a possible african powerplay - everyone is a bit warred out.

Yep ;).

edit: also what finmaster said, sans the bit about Dacia...

Point is, maybe one day I will anyway. But right now, probably not.

Okay, so I'm probably FREEZING (which is different from killing; freezing is like what I did with NES2 II and ITNES I, leaving them ready for future revival) this now, unless someone persuades me not to.

Actually my plan B, which was based on the assumption I would be betrayed. Basically, I was going to strike at allof FK's Colonies and initiate Conscription, however I felt safeish so I didn't follow it through. And of Course Mainland France was the bait.
