True, but the original plan wasn't to attack the FK for a long time...actually, all of Egypt and North Africa was planned to be French.

Good good, I'm sure the FK would have let you do that, no trouble I can't see them having a problem with france gaining easy access to india...

Me and Panda actually planned this the day the NES started.

Not that I blame Kal, he isn't supposed to know about every secret plot his nation was involved in.

...so why didn't you tell him the plan? I'm suprised at how confident you are of success...especially considering the way things actually turned out (the wtfpwnery of France in 1866 - that was truly something special )

So, awards or no awards? I suppose I'd rather have ITNES, but my first choice is NES2 IV.

Be patient , and NES2 IV looked alright, but I'd prefer NES2 VI myself

I agree with you there Azale, a new althist would be good.

I've got no problem with Kal at all, though. He's a great NESer. No one can take a world power and manage it the exact same way...he did a good job with what he had.

Dis, the plan was for Ottoman North Africa to be given to the French, before the FK took it. And the Egyptians loved the frenchies. I told Kal the plan, but he chose to back off of it. I admit though, France was beaten by the FK because of the failed invasion attempt.

Numbers fixed, though.

Yes, I remember when silver told me about this plan. I didn't believe him, and I thought he was trying to get my forces away from my northern border so he could invade me more easily. Which may have well been the case.

If it's time for confession posts, here's the worst thing I did: I sent 5 divisions of aid to Greater Turkmenistan during its last turn. Das simply referred to them as 'irregulars'.

Pretty sad that that's the height of my evil.

Oh, and in response to das a while back, I don't think that being good and being successful are mutually exclusive. Although it is admittedly harder. And good is a relative term anyway.

The great flame war of NES2 V, spanning from pages 229 to 234, with many unknown pages deleted, began with a simple, but misunderstood comment from Lord_Iggy, leader of Turkey. His nation had been previously defeated by Thlayli's Persia, but was now allied with them. They were discussing treachery when Thlayli mentioned that "the seventh circle of hell is reserved for traitors!" Lord_Iggy then responded by saying "Kinda funny you should mention that...", in reference to Thlayli's previous betrayal of him. But unnoticed by Iggy, Thlayli had edited his post, to explain his previous betrayal of the Ottomans. When alex994 declared "All is fair in love and war.", the reaction became inevitable.

Thlayli responded angrily, declaring that Iggy had mixed OOC and IC behaviour. North King declared Iggy's 'betrayal' to be "Disgusting.". A flame war ignited, resulting in multiple deleted pages of spam and a one day ban on Stormbringer; Thlayli, Iggy, and North King's common enemy.

By the time that Iggy got back to the internet the next morning, he had to wade through pages of posts declaring him to be "Disgusting" and a "Cheater", among other things. It was most painful for him.

He quickly explained himself, and Thlayli apologized soon after. At the time of this posting, North King has yet to admit his mistaken attacks on Iggy.

Betraying you and destroying the Ottomans was probably the worst thing I did. As soon as I saw you joining on the first day, I grimaced..."Oh great, it has to be Iggy." It was more of a powerplay/move to liberate the Shiites/Arabs than anything else.

Though I get the record for most independent nations formed because of me: Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Croatia, Sudan (dead though), Romania, Greece, Afghanistan (which probably wouldn't have lasted long anyways)
