Swiss apparently took them a few pages back. I'll reply to that diplo when I get back, too. Been sort of busy.

I don't think you will have a victory. It will be a stalemate.Until some greater power acts in to shift the balance.I don't know if you've noticed but EP doesn't always win a war.

Um, what universe are you from? EP may not win a war, but 3:1 and 4:1 with proven strategists at the helm does.

The universe that takes into account people, places and things.I don't need to build a large army because the people did it willingly. It's not large but its large enough with all the fronts.I aim to defend England. Not to fight across the globe.

England may hold out, but its partners in crime shall not.

Good to hear my Enemy say that.Accualyl my only enemy is the HRE. Not Japan, not Krakow, not anyone except the HRE.If it wasn't for his peace terms we would be at peace.Seperating Scot land and Ireland would just hurt the Isles.I would agree to NAP's a slight de militaration. But nothing drastic.I will not become a puppet state.

edit: I would also like the newer technology.Preferbly peacfully.

Excuse me while I clean out my ears. You're losing.

Thanks for giving me so much credit.

IC? You mean, with that alliance with me, and having me run your nation for a few turns? - I had no plans for your overrunning, and indeed had decided to give you much in the event of a victory against Russia, however, now you have given me an excuse and a reason to overrun you, just as Stalin gave me an excuse to annex Germany.
Who else would have run my country? I didn't want you to sneak troops through, and I was planning on being neutral, but something...happened...and I decided to stand up and be a man. And, betrayal? Excuse to annex me? Don't give me that ****. You don't care if it's a potential long-lasting ally or an former friend betraying you, you just want to win. (Which is, of course, the object of the game. ;)) Hell, look what's happened to countless rebel groups throughout both ITs: Caliphate, south India, Sulia...Russia was an ally during the Krakow War and you didn't do diddly squat. Portugal ended up getting squished despite their own help. You're blaming me for forestalling the inevitable (or at least trying)?

OH NO, SUPERPOWER! People don't needlessly enact the destruction of their nation to bring down a superpower. And trust me, you will be destroyed, even with stormy's double troops and your doublecrossing attacks. Your alliance's combined EP barely tops that of France alone, not to mention her allies.
Perhaps I will. A Crusader (ironically, something the Byzantines hated) wouldn't care about death. Jihadists don't. I'm like Elwood and Jake: on a mission from God.

Yes, I also realize the irony of saying that to you. Also, yes. It was a deliberate betrayal. Just like what HRE did to Britain and several other "allies". Remember WWI? When I had a defensive alliance with France and all they had with the Ottomans was a "Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation"? When I had previously demonstrated to France that I wanted their support by not declaring war on the Ottomans when stalin engineered that "Turkish" attack on the Bosphorus (even though had I done so, I would have crushed them earlier and with more finality than before)? Guess which side Panda and his lapdog Azale decided to help that time (and who they had not warned off from attacking my ally Abyssinia). Three guesses and the first two don't count.

EDIT: The below post's poster is highly ironic in this context. Please, also, don't get a "betrayal" spam war going. You know my reasons, I know you don't like them, that's it.

@das: Having reread the update, I am at a loss as to why the French in Italy haven't surrendered yet. That, and my Emperor's not "young". He's forty-one (born in 1745 during the Italian War).

MARCH FOR INDEPENDENCE!!!
JOIN THE UNITED SOUTHERN SEPARATISTS MOVEMENT!!!

Greetings Brothers and Sisters of South Africa. The era of silence has finally ended! For too long has the voice of liberation been submissive, for too long has the rightful place of the South African people been smothered by the over ambitious and imperialistic aims of other nations. And yet what has this won us comrades? While other nations less deserving of the opportunity to determine their own destinies we who have loyally served have been shafted as some sort of degraded backwater barely worth noticing! Does no one remember the days when we the people of South Africa first came? We turned a forsaken, dry land and transformed it into an oasis any would envy with only sheer will and determination. And yet the home countries that stood on the sidelines and watched us toll have claimed all the fruits of our labor for themselves. There fattening bulges are sickening, and what have we been left with? Nothing... Is it not time we be given our just reward, denied to us for too long?? An independent nation for a miraculous people who have risen to every occasion is only fair. March for our rightful sovereignty comrades, join the United Southern Separatists Movement, and launch the cry that not even a world empire can deny.

FREEDOM FOR SOUTH AFRICA!!!

I'm not attacking your ability at all, far from it. I just fail to see how, outgunned, outproduced, and outnumbered by a decent amount in all cases, even the best strategies could win for long in this situation. Especially as your enemies aren't lightweights themselves.

EDIT: Cheers to Dis' comment below. Mine eyes, man, mine eyes.

Oh yes. The Ottomans. Like you're really going to convince me by dissing the Ottomans, which I ran at the time. :p

Look at the Greco-Persian wars (499 - 448 BC) sometime. I doodle Marathon on every test I get in memoriam. ;) Almost every historical Great Captain faced impossible odds (with the exception, perhaps, of Sam Grant). I'm not going to compare myself to any of these eminences, but people remember the wars that were won by the underdog. And the big wars. ;)

Yes, I know that I don't have much chance of winning, as I myself have noted many times. That's life.

No, Iggy did. ;)

@das: Having reread the update, I am at a loss as to why the French in Italy haven't surrendered yet.

I had a lot of troops there. AND Italy is fairly loyal. As is most of my Empire. The rebels took advantage of the situation, yet did not enjoy huge support. My confidence and culture IS very high, after all, and I have worked VERY hard to make sure that it stays together (my empire, that is.)

Kentharu's Sulia just died recently, like I think update 5 (19).

Now HRE controls it.
