Um, what universe are you from? EP may not win a war, but 3:1 and 4:1 with proven strategists at the helm does.
Thanks for giving me so much credit.

IC? You mean, with that alliance with me, and having me run your nation for a few turns? - I had no plans for your overrunning, and indeed had decided to give you much in the event of a victory against Russia, however, now you have given me an excuse and a reason to overrun you, just as Stalin gave me an excuse to annex Germany.
Who else would have run my country? I didn't want you to sneak troops through, and I was planning on being neutral, but something...happened...and I decided to stand up and be a man. And, betrayal? Excuse to annex me? Don't give me that ****. You don't care if it's a potential long-lasting ally or an former friend betraying you, you just want to win. (Which is, of course, the object of the game.

) Hell, look what's happened to countless rebel groups throughout both ITs: Caliphate, south India, Sulia...Russia was an ally during the Krakow War and you didn't do diddly squat. Portugal ended up getting squished despite their own help. You're blaming me for forestalling the inevitable (or at least trying)?

OH NO, SUPERPOWER! People don't needlessly enact the destruction of their nation to bring down a superpower. And trust me, you will be destroyed, even with stormy's double troops and your doublecrossing attacks. Your alliance's combined EP barely tops that of France alone, not to mention her allies.
Perhaps I will. A Crusader (ironically, something the Byzantines hated) wouldn't care about death. Jihadists don't. I'm like Elwood and Jake: on a mission from God.
Yes, I also realize the irony of saying that to you. Also, yes. It was a deliberate betrayal. Just like what HRE did to Britain and several other "allies". Remember WWI? When I had a defensive alliance with France and all they had with the Ottomans was a "Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation"? When I had previously demonstrated to France that I wanted their support by not declaring war on the Ottomans when stalin engineered that "Turkish" attack on the Bosphorus (even though had I done so, I would have crushed them earlier and with more finality than before)? Guess which side Panda and his lapdog Azale decided to help that time (and who they had not warned off from attacking
my ally Abyssinia). Three guesses and the first two don't count.
EDIT: The below post's poster is highly ironic in this context. Please, also, don't get a "betrayal" spam war going. You know my reasons, I know you don't like them, that's it.
@das: Having reread the update, I am at a loss as to why the French in Italy haven't surrendered yet. That, and my Emperor's not "young". He's forty-one (born in 1745 during the Italian War).
