NESLife attempt #3

@Daftpanzer- Adrenaline?

Yeah, I researched the Eversor Temple of the Inquisition's Assassins after Sym got me curious.

My favourite was alway the long range sniper temple the name of which eludes me. Starts with a "V" I believe.

Cool, that works for me. I guess going Daft's route would be a long distance runner (maybe like a horse) and Iggy's could be for short bursts of speed (IE cheetah).

Quadarm: TerrisH
Evolved from: Trilarm
Genes (36): Crawling x2, Plant Eating x3, Flesh Eating x2, Complex Stomach x2, Claws x3, Communal Behavior x2, Brain Power x3, Eyes x3 Skeleton x1, Tough Skin x1, Water Retention x3, Tough Eggs x1, Parenting Instinct x1, Pack Hunting x1, Walking x3, Lungs x2, Grasping Arms x2, Vibration Sense x1
New Genes: Brainpower x1, Flexh Eating x1, Pack hunting x1
Description: as the skirmishes between the Trilarms and heftuplers continued to intensify, the Trilarms thrived upon it. only the smartest, most cunning survived these skirmishes, and they genrealy tended to work better with each other while hunting. they also started to exhibit a strange tendency in battle, often carrying thick, heavy sticks they found carrying around.

I got some question about insects.

Are there small insects all around only? Are there insects that live in groups already? (I know that on earth their late comers, I ask about here). Especially Insects that live in large homes where long finger nails can enter and such...

So my question is what are "Insects"?

Once again another great update Daft, Now to Business!

Spoiler The Old :
Heftupler: c&cciv3

The new Ractupler as evolve legs similar to their cousins Trilarm's, this and their strengthen muscle allow them to out any other creature they find. However to develop this walk style it reduce its ability to crawl. They also grown jaws to break down food to help in digestion and bite into lightly armour prey.

This NES, it keeps sucking me back in. Daft, its definitely one of the best, if not the best, out there.

Spoiler :
Knogano: Luckymoose
Evolved from: Kanenian
Genes (33): Complex Stomach x2, Flesh Eating x2, Vibration Sense x2, Eyes x2, Brain Power x4, Skeleton x2, Cartilage x2, Jaws x2, Fangs x1, Communal Behaviour x1, Water Retention x2, Lungs x2, Walking x2, Digging x1, Feathers x2, Strength x3, Claws x1
Description: Smarter, more streamlined. This beast has begun to perfect the form of previous generations. Brain growing in size along with more powerful lungs allow for longer running and quick thinking to catch and utterly overpower the enemy. The claws are long and curved. In an attempt to hold prey down with the back legs. The feather color has become more of a dull green on the mass of the body, excluding red feathers on the head. The new thinking power continues to evolve the pack type hunting of previous when ambushing larger animals. Though still not perfect. They are becoming more and more open to the outside environments, still calling home to the jungles. Giving them the opportunity to migrate when possible. They eat nearly anything they can catch.

Spiculumcivis
Evolved from: Knogano
Genes (33): Complex Stomach x2, Flesh Eating x2, Vibration Sense x2, Eyes x2, Brain Power x4, Skeleton x2, Cartilage x2, Jaws x2, Fangs x1, Communal Behaviour x1, Water Retention x2, Lungs x2, Walking x2, Digging x1, Feathers x2, Strength x3, Claws x1
Genes Added: Communal Behavior x2, Neurotoxic Stinger x1
Genes Removed: Feathers x2
Description: When looking at the genes of the Knogano, it is almost surprising it didn't go this path earlier. But as solidarity and bright colors began to be apparently not enough for the Knogano to thrive, evolution took hold. Shedding its feathers and coming closer with its brethern, the Spiculumcivis is the first civis that Scientists have identified. Developing as understated pack hunters, each Spiculumcivis group would mark its territory. Part of the group would be left behind to guard the young, stashed away in some secluded area, away from potential predators. The rest of the small pack would go out and patrol the territory, in twos. When potential prey was spotted, the two Spiculumcivis would attack, stinging the prey with their detachable neurotoxic stingers and tripping it up with their claws. One would stand guard while the other went and fetched the other hunter members, and they would drag the prey back to their main area, where they would feast and share the food amongst the small pack.

, we are getting a massive overabundance of powerful predators here. I'll have to evolve some herbivores next turn.

Spiculumcivis - "Spear of the Citizen"? Intentional?

@ Iggy - No, the only option is to evolve even more powerful predators that prey on other predators. Its a vicious world out there.

I'm still trying to find a path for my little herbivore to go that I like, he was just stale for a bit though the Diggadid was still doing good last I checked. Thus I did a plant for a couple turns, my fish for a turn and currently molding my carnivore.

Don't worry about herbivores... The Leggers will soon take that area...

Cryo bubbleo: Abaddon
Evolved from: Cryoalgae
Genes (6): Photosynthesis x3, Cold Resistance x1, Hibernation x1, Carpeting x1
Added Genes (2): Boyancy x 1, carpetting x 1

The cryoalgae has survived for eons, but finally its evolution was on the move. Which way was the movement? but upwards! All this photosynthesis and only now is the byproduct harnessed, for the oxygen produced is maintained in fleshy "sacs" which give boyancy to the algae, increased carpeting means vast blankets form, espcially over stagnant water, blocking out other competitors.

Spiculumcivis wasn't supposed to be a superpredator.

And yes, the name was purposeful. All the descendants will be -civis.

Cool stuff!

No social insects yet - stuff like that would be interesting enough to be listed in the stats. The generic 'insects' are just simple crawlers and fliers. Think of flies, worms, woodlice. Stuff that either feeds on plants, or feeds on decaying things, or both.

Yes, i could see that working as an 'energy boost' gene. Thanks!

And pretty much not ants. :p Seriously, ants are sophisticated creatures. In game terms, they ought to have a higher Communal Behavior thing than humans do, so that'd put them up at a 7 or 8. That alone means Hiborytes aren't even close...
