@Lord Iggy, that's truly wonderful. Thanks so much for keeping the Megatree updated!
I downloaded Freemind to take a better look at it, but I don't have the required Java runtime stuff and its refusing to download

Oh, and an electrical plant could probably work through building up a static charge without too much energy expenditure.
Hmm, maybe I was too critical of that.

Well, since my creature already has a feather gene could you convert that to poison resistance? Or do I need that feather gene for its special poisonous feathers on its underside?
@The Farow, its OK, as I said, we can assume each creature is immune to its own poison. I was just thinking out loud

(Daft I wanted to make a whole familly of kakliea based on the original one, but you killed it off

. Would it be too much trouble to renamed the S' Kakliea ''Kakliea'', and the dead kakliea ''proto-kakliea''?)
@Kol.7, no renaming allowed, except if I made a big mistake. Just don't bank on anything surviving

I imagined the original Valios Polykalios being a lower-maintenance treeborne hunter, with the Shadow Kakliea at the top, and no room in between for the original Kakleia

.
BTW, I don't want to discourage 'brain power'. I wont artificially prevent the rise of a sentient species - we can have a mass extinction event as it trashes the planet before leaving for outer space
I was just pointing out that it works best in combination with other things. Like humans have speech, social and parenting behaviour, useful hands, etc.

I'm worried for my unevolved Leggers like the Burial Legger. So here are some things I thought of evolving them into but chose something else over them. So DAFT here are my ideas for possible evolutions in the Finner-Legger branch of evolution.
@erez87, thanks for sharing those ideas. Of course I cant make any guarantees about what will actually evolve...
