I downloaded the new patch and when I try to start a new game won't let me choose difficulty. It only shows blank in the menu where difficulty is selected? Tried re-installing the game and deleting cache. Will post it on GitHub later but wondering if anyone has a quick fix for this?

I have to ask, are you german? No offense but in the english language the comma ( , ) is not used as much as in german. Makes it a bit harder to read what you are saying.
Are you familiar with British English, as in Oxford grammar? Commata are more frequently used in the 'original' version of English..
American English has more simplified rules for written text.

Not as well versed as you are I am sure. I know German decently well and just thought his way of writing kind of looked german influenced to me. Was maybe unnecessary from my side but I myself like to get honest feedback so I appreciate that you say that. I doubt that oxford grammar looks like the way he writes, though? Again correct me if I am wrong.

*edit* off-topic though and we should proceed in private messages :)

This probably has been the case for quite a while, but I have to commend ilteroi or whoever is responsible for city state unit behavior that it is so nice to see your city state allies actually contributing in wars and not just standing around in their territory and defending if someone gets too close.

Do you have all DLCs?

Even though I'm quoting you, I'm not addressing you specifically @azum4roll...
It should be so much easier to find and download all the Vox-Populi modmods than it currently is. It has nothing to do with DLC, I know, however, it used to be really easy to find the modmods that were currently being supported by the mod (IIRC, there were 7 or so at one time - 1-7, with some a/b/c things even further dividing the mods & their effects.) That's no longer the case. I know much has been incorporated into the base mods at this point, but a one-stop-shop for everything is totally missing today.

*edit - corrected the text to modmods.

It should be so much easier to find and download all the Vox-Populi-attached mods than it currently is. It has nothing to do with DLC, I know, however, it used to be really easy to find the sub-mods that were currently being supported by the mod (IIRC, there were 7 or so sub-mods at one time - 1-7, with some a/b/c things even further dividing the mods & their effects.) That's no longer the case. I know much has been incorporated into the base mods at this point, but a one-stop-shop for everything is totally missing today.

It has been made easier with just reducing the 7 to 4 and don't understand why this would be more difficult from your perspective. I can understand difficulties keeping up versioning with mod mods, but base VP is probably made as easy to install as can be. I'd agree that the 4 could just be 1 pack in my opinion, but other than that it is very easy.

The following minor bugfixes and UI improvements have been added already in 4.5.0 and were forgotten in the changelog:
Bugfixes:
  • Reduce number of Barbarians spawning during the CS horde quest (was unintentionally increased in a previous patch)
  • Fix influence decay not triggering an update of CS alliances, which could result in the ally having less influence than another player
  • When WLTKD ends in a city and the newly demanded resource is already connected to the trade network, the next WLTKD is entered immediately and not one turn later
  • Fix some instant yield notifications appearing one turn too late (instant yields from adopting a policy, removing heresy, buying something with faith)
  • Fix duplicate notifications when an antiquity site is revealed
  • Fix duplicate buttons to repair a pillaged improvement
UI improvements:
  • Condense notifications when war is declared or peace is made: Notifications are shown only for the major players, and the notifications contain a list of the vassals and CS allies involved
  • It is now mentioned in the notification if a declaration of war is triggered by a Defensive Pact
  • Add a notification when a foreign city is conquered
  • Inquisitors now have a preview of the new number of followers after removing heresy in a city
  • EUI: Notifications for cultural influence no longer stack (it wasn't possible to cycle through them as clicking on them leads to the tourism screen)
  • Add a "Close" button to the popup to select a conquered city's fate

Added. Thank you!

Just download and run the autoinstaller? Linked on every new version thread and the How to Install thread. I don't see where a one-stop-shop is totally missing.

I am seeing production damage on a hurricane when I choose the protect property choice.
I don't see any benefits happening from Terracota army
Occasionally, a city will suddenly show all question marks in the menu, then back to normal on the next turn.

I'd like to advertise my new QoL modmod "Notification Settings" (link), which allows turning on/off notifications for instant yields:
Spoiler :

These are the notifications I'm talking about:

With the mod they can be turned on and off depending on the type of instant yield:

The mod is compatible with existing save games (version 4.5 or newer).

Quick question, in new spy system, sometimes you cant do an action since "operation was conducted recently", dont remember exact wording. What is considered "recently" in terms of game?
Meaning, from specific city, you can steal tech maximum once every 10 turns for example?

Has anyone noticed Strategics not connecting even when they should be? I've got a mine on iron but no iron.

I'm trying to determine if the problem is in VP or a modmod before I report it.

EDIT: Looks like the syntax of "UPDATE Resources SET TechCityTrade" has changed. Any modmoders be aware.

For the base mod sure, but I was referring to the modmods. Keeping those up to date can be a chore.

Yeah, I didn't specify modmods, I see now, however, that's what I was referring to. I'll go correct that post for future readers.

Hope all is well. This modding effort and CIV have gotten me through a lot, including 8 miserable years in college studying comp sci.

If it isn't too much trouble, would it be possible to have an option to configure singleplayer notifications like they are in multiplayer? Being interrupted every turn by a pause for leader portraits to present me a 2g for open borders every other turn really slows down the gameplay, when they could be preloaded like in multi.

Also if there's any way the community can meaningfully help during this time, happy to try my best.

Looks like this has already been reported. Has been tagged as a muktiplayer issue and i can confirm ive also only experienced this using a modpack in multiplayer.
Interesting.

It is nice to know I am not the only one. However, I am experiencing it solo. I hope that this can get resolved in the next patch.

Spy mission kidnap specialists does nothing except notification, no change to GPP, no change to number of turns to get GP.
There is no positive, nor negative changes when I execute the mission and if get notification of AI success in my cities.
