Please remove hurricane event before turn 150. It set you so far behind.
it's the bullshittest one, specially when it hits your capital.

You are right: the forest with deer was NOT on tundra tile although it is completely surrounded by tundra tiles. Thank you for the quick answer!

It does seem that every turn I am getting a brush fire or a mine collapse.

How can I disable Events ?

By doing some research on your own, because it was mention like 1000 times by now. And if you go back to version when events were added you can read it from patch notes.

Edit: To save you the trouble go to :CP/Core Files/Core Table/CustomModOption.xml and look for BALANCE_CORE_EVENTS , then set it to 0.

woops, I just removed the folder Events. It did the trick for me.

I'm in a terrible mental state right now. I haven't been able to play in 1½ week now since the last beta came out, since it keeps crashing. I'm addicted to a computer game that I can't play. I'm a wreck!
I'm refreshing the forums 10 times a day in a hope for a post that says: "New Beta Version - May 3rd (5/3) "
There must be a way that I can get the previous beta back until a new beta is out.
Please save me Gazebo :)

There should be a 'release' version you could go back to and play that presumably wouldn't crash? Just might require uninstalling the current beta you have first?

I've had the identical problem; the 4/23 beta will not work on my machine and will crash randomly to desktop anytime between turn 13 and 89 (approx); there is no action I perform that initiates this other than moving the cursor with a mouse.

The only mods I use are the CBP and infoaddict. I stopped using Communitas and R.E.D in the hopes they were the culprits but they are not - the crashes occur on Continents, Continents Plus, etc. They occur with Standard resources, and in fact, Standard everything.

I've reinstalled the game, updated all the drivers, etc etc No help.

I have saved a copy of some of the previous beta zip files (the installers) and if you message me privately I can send you one. I don't know if this is 'legal' but I'm sure someone will let me know.

Can't you guys just delete the new beta files, go into your Recycling Bin, and Restore the previous beta files?

This is what betas are for... beta testing. If the whole crashing, bug testing, error reporting isn't your idea of fun, just use the release versions and leave the betas to those that want to test them.

There a lot of people that don't understand this sadly. :(

Thank you both for very helpful answers.
I have played every single beta since I found this forum 6 months ago, and I have reported lots of bugs, both on github and here on the forums. I play the betas because I like to "be a part of" the development of such an ambitious project. So bug testing is actually my thing! But if the game crashes withing the first 20 turns every time i play, then I can't do much bug testing. I did however report my crashes on gihub.

I just asked for help here, in hope that someone had a way that I could play the next newest beta release, so that I can continue reporting bugs. I even tried writing in a humorous way so that people might give my request a smile.
I find your passive aggression totally unnecessary - you could simply tell me that you don't have the old beta packs anymore and move on. Luckily, another user on the forum still had the files and sent them over e-mail.
So now I'm playing the last beta realease, and I will continue reporting bugs.

@mernild: I had some crashes and infinite turns with this version, but I am not sure if LUAJIT or some files that I have created for my translation were the problem. I experienced them by playing a local hotseat game with a friend for a while. For now after using the original lua file and by fixing the issues in my translation files, I never had any issues yet. The best you can do is to activate logging delete your "logs" and "cache" folder and to begin a game. If the game will crash or have an error, you can report that to github by sharing the complete logs folder and if the game crashed with the minidump file. Then you have to open a bug report on github. Be as detailed as possible: mods you are using, what caused the issue, what have you done etc. You can find some information about activating logging in my installation guide.

So I have been away from Civ for a month or so and try the new CPP beta patch...

I have to say, the events IMHO are horrible. Sorry, it seems some people like them, and all the power to them. However, as they are now, they are full of cheese and take more from the game then they actually add. Getting the same pirate in a tavern event for the 10th time in the same game is silly.

Thanks a lot for answering :) . I already did make a bug report on github though, containing both logs and minidump

As Gazebo has said many times- the solution to the same events repeating over and over is for new events to be created by the community. The current pool of events is way too small, but that's why this is a Beta.
