You mean that one border skirmish between the lumberjacks in Maine and Québec? Because I don't think that qualifies as an "invasion."I guess all those times the Americans tried to conquer us, and obviously failed, didn't count.

I actually didn't know until recently that Sid Meier is Canadian ... how dare he never make the Canadians a civilization!
For truly, no Canadian in history is more worthy. Certainly I cannot name one.He has been waiting for the right time to include himself as a leader for Canada.
You mean that one border skirmish between the lumberjacks in Maine and Québec? Because I don't think that qualifies as an "invasion."And Manifest Destiny was more about booting the Russians and English out of the Northwest Territories/Oregon/Washington, whatever Polk's rhetoric might have proposed. (No disrespect intended to Canada--I for one think that the US should annex British Columbia stat
--but aside from that border skirmish in Maine and some cross-border raids in the War of 1812, the relationship between the US and Canada certainly hasn't been characterized by armed hostility of any kind. In fact, I'd say post-1815 our relationship has been quite cordial.)
Sure sure, Americans always like to downplay their failures.
As an American, I maintain that Vietnam was a failure of spirit. It is a true example of war weariness in action, and that of a powerful military motivating a foolish presidency into acting (regardless of the advantage) in a manner in which we ought never have done. Militarily, we destroyed their forces (after the disastrous Tet offensive, they had no capable military left). In peace, we tied, as neither side gained their target (the elimination of the other). In culture and politics, we lost (as we lost the will to fight). And the last two, it seems, are all that matter.
Or not admit to them at all. *cough*Vietnam*cough*![]()
That would be Queen Victoria, and she's already in the game.whatever Canadian leader there was during that aforementioned invasion
The got to have some kind of governors or vice-kings!That would be Queen Victoria, and she's already in the game.![]()

The Canadian mod by Tpangolin/Colonialist Legacies used a Prime Minister as the leader, Lester Pearson.
There are other PMs they could use, MacDonald, Laurier, King...
I know how unpopular the Canadians as Civ idea is here though.
I assume he's talking about the one fore Civ 5, which came out a while ago heredid that come out already?
Using a PM is decent enough, given that the GG is a figurehead placeholder for the figurehead of state.
I hope I expressed my agreement that in essence we lost.
