New NESes, ideas, development, etc

I got an idea for a NES where the players play characters inside a huge maze. Somewhat like Portal or the movie "Cube". The mod would make groups out of the players and each group will be on it's own until the either die or meet with each other...

That should probably be modded by Daft...

I said daft cause this sounds like a NES right for his modding skills and he could add the looks into it :p. Obviously any mod could run an average one like this.

It's not an insult, you have a tendency to launch non-conventional NESes (HeroNES, DwarfNES, GameNES), as a complement to your LuckNES series.

Was maybe. Go update or don't put it in the present tense; it's been a month since you said anything in it.

I said IS because it ISN'T dead. It went through a much long hiatus prior to the last string of updates. I see it as still open and I have orders for everyone so I will update when I get the motivation.

But the delay will lose you many players, its a bit of a shrodingers cat your NES

Not to mention that motivation should have come a long time ago. It's dead until you update. Until than, DEAD IT WILL STAY muhahaha

And one more idea ...

You are for example farmer in England ... 600 AD.

You hate the king (lets say he killed your parents when you were small) and so you begin to form a group of warriors which helps people, have secret hideout and fight against kings troops.

As Robin Hood did....

Your task will be to kill the king and became the new one. After this first "easy" task, you'll have to conquer all the Britain under one high king. (while in 600 AD there were about 30 little kingdoms all over the islands.)

That's true, but there should be only main task, your fantasy won't be wrapped. In all NESes you have task.... minimal to be the best... or something like that, there you will have just the task more concrete.

You will be really nothing at the start and you have "task" to grow..

But, just an idea...

Okay, it's probably best to revive this thread and move the discussion of the "1000 BC NES" (working title) here from While We Wait 3. It's gotten a bit unwieldy, so I wouldn't bother quoting it here.

It's a good idea...I readed your ideas, but I say that your current economic rules are perfetc. I don't think you have to change them.

I think they're not quite adequate yet. I'm trying to introduce historical realism here, after all, and the division of economy shown by the Strategos and absent in my previous ruleset was a very big deal, especially in the period in question; after all, struggle between the king and the traditional nobility, as much economical as it was political, had to a great extent defined the history of Egypt, Assyria, Babylonia and Persia.

You might want to talk to North King. We had an interesting discussion about that fairly recently.
I repeat this for emphasis. He asked me to bounce some ideas off of him for a trade system that actually represented supply and demand of vital goods in a workable yet somewhat realistic way. We made decent progress, and I would imagine by now he's probably gotten somewhere farther with it.

I suspect/hope that he will come here eventually anyway (he is fairly active, after all); PMing him seems redundant at the moment.

Does such a map already exhist (ish) or will a completely new one be scratched up?

I intend to use Symphony's world map, hopefully with the rivers (seeing as I do intend to gradually include new regions).
