Actually it really, really depends on the circumstances.
In Ailedhoo's case, CUSS was in no position to fight Messina at that moment, so it wasn't the best idea.

Although this is a brilliant IOT, I am really busy as well and I've overcommitted to too many IOTs. So this is a god send in a way.
