I've been playing a game with Venice and I know Venice works outside the bounds of reality but it's crazy how much gold I have and I can't even spend it. I just reached the Atomic era with 50k gold and I've been buying units (and gifting/suiciding them) and diplomats nonstop on every cooldown, bought every building and every trade possible and I still can't get rid of it fast enough. I guess it was pretty dumb to fill the Industry policy tree as Venice.
