None Shall Pass 2 [Game Thread - Concluded]

It could be a bad attempt by Tak to signal he is the message bearer, but more likely it is someone who just picked something from the thread to copy. Don’t know that we can do much with the info at this point.

We can conclude that the messanger is quite active and doesn't live in Europe :). He, because it's most likely a he, has a close relation with Takhisis and probably decided to joke with him. One can assume that the messanger also like bacon and the cartoon show Adventure Time.

Desperate times lead to desperate actions.
So when Verarde felt the noose tightening he role claimed to you and you unvoted. You didn't die on n1, thus making Verardes claim to you seems more trustworthy. Perhaps you were given some scan result or something too.

Something like that?

Unvote, vote Choxorn for hiding in the shadows.

I'd say you have found the scent, but are not quite at the target.

Just as well we don't have a split town, what with three LotR characters dying so quickly.

You bastards! You killed Jarrema!!
He's not Kenny.
Verarde for now. His wagon dissipated to leave behind two village wagons, mine and Sam's. That's the best I have right now.
FishFingerofSuspicion: Tanar Aerdoth. Why are you claiming you're a townie so stridently when people aren't even pressuring you?
Yeah what's the deal with Taks last comment appearing in the write-up as a message being discovered??
Someone's playing silly buggers with me, given the results of last night's actions.

Worth checking. vote: Double A

I assumed this was just a joke (or semi-joke?) but then this:
"A message was discovered:"

I've nothing yet to go on but to vote the most suspicious-looking of the votes Lynching the Innocent:

Vote: Tanar Aerdoth
I would say my vote for Sam is the least suspicious since I had to vote for him to survive.

This post is somewhat ironic, but for reasons that will not be clear for some time. I’ll also note that there were more than two “wagons” left behind and yours by no means is confirmed as village.
Hmm. What I see is Verarde at 4 votes and Sprig at 3. Then, my wagon starts to build. Then, Sam's does, and Verarde falls away, and it's between Sam and me. Sprig just stays down at 3 the whole time. As for my wagon being a village wagon, I was speaking from my pov.

But, if you say you have good reason not to lynch him I'll listen for now.

unvote

I'm not sure who to vote for now though. I'll take a look when I get back from class.

I have heard some rumors about vote: Count Dingdong and feel that he needs a little pressure today. Anything you want to share with the group (or in private for that matter)?

What would those rumours be, Mr. BSmith1068?

BSmith was clear that he had reasons for unvoting Verarde. And, what's more, the fact that he said so constitutes an info point on both of them. Consequently, I'm inclined to be a little suspicious of the people who've voted for either of them today. Focusing on the same subjects every day is not a recipe for town success. At this stage of the game, in the absence of actual evidence (and nothing that happened yesterday counts as evidence of anything just yet) we should be aiming to generate information on the people about whom we have none.

For that reason, and because his being in the firing line yesterday goes some way to explaining his vote today, I'm less interested in Tanar here. Meanwhile, and despite a nagging feeling that he should know the above, Visorslash gets a pass today because he had his vote on one of the leading candidates yesterday. Likewise, Snerk had his vote on Verarde when the latter looked like he might actually be lynched.

Thus, my attentions fall now upon azzaman, whose vote yesterday was irrelevant, and whose vote today was an easy jump onto Snerk's pressure push on BSmith.

This is tentative. I consider Tanar 29% to be Scum, and almost everyone else 23%.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I played in one previous game where private PM's were allowed (though a "white soapstone" had to be spent for each PM), and don't know how they play out.

Visorslash specifically asked for PM's, making a vague promise. Comments?

I'm a Townie myself and will be happy to receive PM's. I'd ask that PM'er reveal as much as he/she asks. Is that reasonable?

Specific advice about game tactics or strategy, whether PM usage or other, would help me. Moreover, such discussion. with the bluffs and "wineglasses" that might ensue, might help better players to guess alignment, no? In fact, since scum already know alignment, failure to discuss is scummy, no?

Historically CFC PMs have either been completely banned (not the case in this game) or allowed with no limitations (except for the ban on quoting host PMs). As for whether you should trust what people tell you over PM? That's for your own judgment

Yeah what's the deal with Taks last comment appearing in the write-up as a message being discovered??

We've had messenger roles before. Generally, the messenger is their own role, that can make a mysterious message appear in the writeup. Messengers can be pro-town occasionally, but copying a townies joke comments like that doesn't seem like a very pro-town use of that role, so I think this game's messenger is probably scum.

We can conclude that the messanger is quite active and doesn't live in Europe :). He, because it's most likely a he, has a close relation with Takhisis and probably decided to joke with him. One can assume that the messanger also like bacon and the cartoon show Adventure Time.

There's also this post. Does anyone who knows more about edse know who this is a description of? Double A?

Why would someone provide you with all this sensitive information on d1? A gut feeling you were town?

Because Verarde was about to be lynched, and out of the people voting for him, BSmith was the one most easily convinced to unvote?

Also, vote: Count Dingdong

Well ok, we don't know if Tak is a townie, but nonetheless the point stands.

And as an historical side note, Verarde and I always vote for each other on D1, so I was probably viewed as the easiest to convince to change. ;)

It's not an ability that lends itself to being particularly anti-town... Nor one this is dangerous. I can't see any need to go after finding the person responsibly right away.

Without defending Azzaman, I can see why he would follow Snerks lead.

Hear ye, hear ye! Winston has been scanned as not town!

This doesn't necessarily mean he's scummy but he's by far the best lynch option for today.

I didn't scan him myself so I can't vouch for this info 100%. But should this turn out to be false then I will of course reveal tomorrow who the provider of this lie was. I therefore strongly urge a doctor to protect me this night so I'll remain alive to deliver that information.

unvote, vote Winston Hughes

What happens if your entire post is a lie to kill off Winston and your 'source' is another innocent townie?

Scans aren't 100% effective as per OP. We sure about this?

I think someone has great evidence that I am no killer. I'd like to network.

What happens if your entire post is a lie to kill off Winston and your 'source' is another innocent townie?
Then I have bigger balls than I ever imagined. I'd also eventually get lynched for it.

Well ok, we don't know if Tak is a townie, but nonetheless the point stands.
How could I be anything but a townie?

I however, do see a need for Double A to be lynched. He annoyed me by posting while dead a couple days ago and hasn't apologised.

Well, let's test this. unvote; vote: Winston Hughes.
What happens if your entire post is a lie to kill off Winston and your 'source' is another innocent townie?
Then we kill Snerk ASAP and he's roleblocked during the night.
