None Shall Pass 2 [Game Thread - Concluded]

Both of your continued support of a non-town has been noted.

I'm supporting a non-townie by voting for Dingdong, who has claimed to be the King of the Dead? Something tells me that you could swing that argument to condemn anyone voting for either party, which makes it a pointless scare tactic.

You do realize that any of Winston's mafia partners would have bussed him a long time ago? Mafiosi won't stand by their partner to the last. They know that, even if Winston does everything the town tells him to, his supporters will come under massive suspicion after he (predictably) flips Tarkin.

Your commitment to making a runaway wagon and silencing all dissent has been noted.
Speculating weather potential mafia partners are bussing or not is often a fruitless exercise. But from a pro-town perspective some have IMO been oddly supportive of Winstons claims. I'm glad CD was pressured but at this point there is little to learn from votes so yeah I'd now rather have a runaway on Winston than a close call.

Given that it was you who brought the initial claim about Winston to light, I can see why you'd be most particular that Winston bites it tonight. Until he confessed, however, all we had to go on was people being "oddly supportive of [your] claims".

Whilst unlikely, you and Visor could be Winston's Mafia partners, bussing him to show off your town credentials or (as may well be possible) shoeing-in a enemy scum. This hardly proves you to be innocent: it just makes it more likely that Visor is telling the truth.

You're not giving certain answers.

What's the point? Between the Morgothians, the others who want me dead, and the townies who can't see past the apparent scumminess of my role, I have no chance of making it to tomorrow regardless of anything else I might claim. Everything I know that might aid the town is out there, so there's no value in saying more.

There are considerations beyond who ultimately wins the lynch race and by how much. Having good alternatives in second and third place are also important, and some care and thought should be spent on that endeavor at this point rather than adding yet another vote to a foregone conclusion. Continued discussion on that point is valuable regardless of who ultimately gets the rope today. Encouraging everyone to pile onto one contestant is counterproductive and will reduce the ability for town to find the threats.

I disagree, following up on a prophet claim is usually a good idea as it will most likely uncover something.

As for me I've not said my actions today proves me as innocent.

While I am on the "Winston must die" side, I am also on the "I don't like runaway wagons" side. So I'll vote Count Dingdong.

If I am ever suspect, I am sure this vote will be brought up as evidence.

What's the tally? I think it's very close now.

I agree. We appear to have unmasked at least two dubious people today, but whipping out a tired and faulty "join the bandwagon or you're scum" never serves the town, as scum will happily jump on and we lose a day's worth of voting patterns.

Don't get me wrong - Winston obviously needs to die and from what Dingdong says, he either can't die as his canonically-antagonistic role or he somehow miraculously becomes pro-town if he does. Both are valid targets (one more so than the other) and the town is not best served by your whipping up "vote this way or else" shenanigans so early on.

Well I do not say vote Winston or you're scum, at all! I'm glad there were votes on CD. I merely pointed out that I think some went too easily along with both Winstons claim of being a morgoth hunter, and his initial refusal to reveal his role.

Oh and yeah the tally is less close than I thought, Winston ;)

Who else besides Winston and Dingdong do we think needs attention?

Here's my problem with Winston: he claims the CD is against is evil and against his victory condition. If I have this right, survival is his goal. I don't see how CD (even as scum) could really be against that. However, if Winston is scum, then it makes total logical sense for CD (scum or not scum) to show up as this result. I just don't think Winston adds up, though CD also seems very scummy and should probably be lynched tomorrow.

The reason I'm voting you is because you're not saying more.

You're not seeing the whole picture here. Even if the lynch didn't get me, the killers would.

I didn't roleclaim because I thought it might save me; I roleclaimed because I knew nothing could save me.

If the mafia nightkillers waste a kill on you, that's certainly good for the town.

Right. I'm heavily inclined to believe Visor because this is a Zack game, and Zack loves making weird roles (which is why I love his games). It also says "The bad guys could be anyone. Similarly, anyone can be good or neutral" in the freaking rules.

The Visor worded his VCs makes it look like he can win with the Sith (who were the SW mafia last time and probably are again) or either town. Zack probably created a role that would win with those factions and then decided Tarkin would be the guy for the job. I imagine there's also a seemingly anti-town but probably just anti-Sith character in the LOTR universe. I would probably have guessed Denethor but he went and died already, so I dunno. Gollum? He'd probably just want the One Ring. Guess we'll see Visor's alignment when he dies and then I can compare it to Jarhead's.

Anyway, I'm equally inclined to believe Dingdong, but at least he can still vote (if I read that right) after he dies. futile vote: Dingdong

We can conclude that the messanger is quite active and doesn't live in Europe :). He, because it's most likely a he, has a close relation with Takhisis and probably decided to joke with him. One can assume that the messanger also like bacon and the cartoon show Adventure Time.

"quite active"

Well it obviously isn't me then.

Worth checking. vote: Double A

Do you really think I'm that clever? And yes, I am aware that it wasn't very clever.

I however, do see a need for Double A to be lynched. He annoyed me by posting while dead a couple days ago and hasn't apologised.

I'm sorry that you're offended.

I like to assume the best in people. Op indicates there will be neutrals. I don't see any more.more indication that he is mafia.mafia over third party

You need a new phone, man.

Why does everyone think my role is a cover Role? It's not a good cover role if people think it is
Han solo is a good cover role

Or even Aragorn.
