[NOT IN DEVELOPMENT] DOC Community Mod Compilation

In 600ad scenerio China have no capital, that means, no palace at the beginning. It should be Chang'an. And the city name in 600ad, Xi'an should be Daxing(be Chang'an after Tang Dynasty), Nanjing should be Jiangning, Beijing should be Youzhou, Kaifeng should be Bianzhou.

And why Israel appear in 600ad?

Thank you, I'll get on this soon.

Thank you so much, this Israel thing may be why the autoplay doesn't work for them in the 600 AD scenario!

Just to make sure, Nanjing Beijing and Kaifend before and Jiangning Youzhou and Bianzhou during the Tang Dynasty, or is it JUB during and NBK after?

In 600ad, it is Sui Dynasty, during this dynasty, the city names are as I mentioned above.

In Modern Age, In fact after 1949, they become Nanjing, Beijing and Kaifeng.

Words > facts

The thing is that Lhasa itself is located in U-tsang, so that region is already represented. Shigatse is indeed west of Lhasa and could be represented, but it's too close - in the game it would be just the tile next to Lhasa. Farther west there indeed independent kingdoms, but nothing populated heavily enough to merit a city. You could have a hut or towns, but not actual cities. If you want a second Tibetan city then that would make more sense in the East (probably Qamdo?) but that would be very close to Xian and Chengdu - there's not enough space for it either.

An option could be to move Lhasa west of east, and make room for either Shigatse or Qamdo, but probably that's more suitable for the larger map. Other than Lhasa, every city in the historical Tibetan region is basically too small to have in the game.

Yeah, my ultimate point is that everything relevant in Tibet already is in Lhasa's cross.

Here's a peek at a Spain I'm going to be trying out as part of my Colonial Europe changes:

Are you expanding map?

Are you expanding map?
No, I'm preparing to slightly shrink the UK, Iberia, and France to compensate for a prior change that gave core cities 1 food from every unique Health Resource. My goal is to induce a similar scenario for England, France and Spain as they historically had: Namely that their limited land forced them to colonize. I've taken care to ensure they have all of the resources they currently have, I'm just reducing their empty space.

Here's a peek at an England I'm going to be trying out as part of my Colonial Europe changes:

Getting on it right away.

I had previously shown off the changes to the UK that I'm planning on testing.

As you may have been able to tell by now, aside from being a compilation of all of the community's modmodmods, I also have taken to using this modcomp as a testing ground for new ideas, both from the community and myself.

EDIT: Just as a note, I've since slightly modified the UK, I'll take a screenshot and post the changes shortly.

EDIT2: Just so everyone is clear, these map changes are not yet in my mod, they are still in the testing phases. Since they're such a dramatic change, they'll be in testing for much longer than most of my ideas, so they may be slightly less buggy when I finally implement them.

EDIT3: Here's the most recent UK. As you can see, I've swapped the Irish Horse and Grassland, fixed up the ocean path to Iceland, and made Scotland better resemble the vanilla DOC version.

Here's France.

Now I just have to go into the python and DLL and fix everything up and then I can start testing and tweaking.

Shrinking:eek2:? I am already claustrophobic in Europe where almost every tile has a resource on it. :faint:

Now you know how Portugal and the Netherlands feel!

Yes, I knew it for a long time, but luckily all they need from Europe is peace. Rarely given.

Now I'm leaning towards not having a western Tibetan city. @Leoreth, it's not that words > facts, it's that you can't explain a fact without using words, and @Tigranes ' words meant more than yours.
I don't know what additional words would add to the fact that there just isn't anything in western Tibet.

I FIXED THE 600 AD ISRAEL BUG! YOU MAY NOW PLAY AS ISRAEL FROM 600 AD.

Apparently this city was attributed to Israel when it should have been attributed to the independents, and since it's removed after the game begins I had no idea it even existed.

Code:
BeginCity, (Removed after game start)
        CityOwner=49
        CityName=Guiyang
        CityPopulation=1
        Player49Culture=250
    EndCity

I also pushed some changes to China's city names according to @soul-breathing 's specifications. I haven't spent the time to test it though, so I'm not sure how well it works.

I have no idea why China starts with Beijing/Youzhou as it's capital despite the scenario file specifically giving the palace to Xi'an/Daxing. @citis is this a side effect of your mod, or is something wrong on my mod's end?

EDIT: Just loaded the mod and the Palace isn't even in Youzhou! AAAAAAA

Seems you're stuck with the capital problem.

I find the some city names in 600ad are correct(Youzhou, Bianzhou, Jiangning), but Xi'an should named Daxing or Chang'an. And in 1700ad, the city names still Youzhou Bianzhou etc., that's wrong. In Qing dynasty, Beijing is just Beijing, Kaifeng is just Kaifeng, Xi'an is just Xi'an, Shenyang should be Mukden(turn back to Shenyang after Qing Dynasty).

But in fact these are minor questions. It isn't necessary to spend too much time here. The capital problem is more important. Take your time.

And another bug here, why Israel initial war with all the others? With game save here.
