[NOT IN DEVELOPMENT] DOC Community Mod Compilation

Please report issues with CMC only in the associated thread.

Click ''clone or download'', then download zip and from there paste the files in the mod folder of BTS
I would suggest using TortoiseGit instead, with it you don't have to redownload the same files everytime, but only the files that have been changed.

1) Download and install Git for Windows.
2) Download and install Tortoise Git.
3) During the installation, you will be prompted for a number of settings. Most of these are only relevant to developers, since you only want to use Git for access you can simply accept the default values.
4) Right-click on your Beyond the Sword\Mods folder and choose "Git Clone".
5) In the prompt, enter the following as "URL": https://github.com/earthcrafterman/Dawn-of-Civilization.git
6) You also have to change the "Directory" entry so that it ends in ".../DOC Community Mod Compilation"
7) I'm not sure on the specifics, but you have to change the branch to BalanceAndCivs
8) Wait for the download to complete.

NEW UPDATE

India, and Ethiopia are playable in 600 AD

Polynesia will settle New Zealand in more varied ways.

Polynesia will prioritize culture buildings after first settling a city.

Realized my previous attempt to encourage more military units was stupid and decided to try one that actually makes sense.

Slightly edited Polynesian must settle list'

Fixed a German spawn related bug

Independent Units on Crete and Polynesian Cities will now flip when they do

1700 AD scenario has Independent cities on all of the usual Polynesian city tiles except New Zealand.

I will be running some simulations in the future to find the usual settlements on New Zealand to give to Britain in the 1700 AD scenario.

Please tell me if this update fixed the difficulty issue @Hussarknight and/or anyone else who's interested.

I'll be updating the OP with recent features shortly

EDIT: Updated OP

Now that I have Polynesia (hopefully) where I want it, I think I'll start going in the direction of increasing the amount of military units the AI produces in general. I'm hoping it'll just require tweaking some variables but if need be I'll implement some (probably haphazard) changes to the AI

With full knowledge of my previous posts in this regard, it's very likely I'll get sidetracked and move onto an issue that's more visible or that people tell me about. Like with the smaller Europe and UP changes I announced, both of which are nowhere near ready because I got distracted by a combination of the AI, Polynesia, Harappa, Errors, Not Knowing there's an Ingame Stability Map Editor, a Lack of Ideas, and Pirates.

I intend to stick to working on the AI long enough to get it at least somewhat improved, however.

I really want to see more wars.

Reverted Greek Anatolia Settler change. Apparently Bits of Tales changed the Oracle's effect to giving 3 Galleys, Militias, and Settlers upon completion.

Not sure how I feel about that, but it does make the Anatolia Settler a bit overboard.

Has anyone else noticed how my posts on this thread almost always come in Threes?

Thanks, does it work with older savefiles?

Problem fixed. Turns out I had the wrong name.

Sorry.

Also, the Oracle seems to have lost its effect. After building it as Greece, I received a fleet to settle three cities, but no technologies.

Another thing is that there is no indicator to the new UHV areas.

The Oracle thing is from Bits of Tales.

New UHV areas? You mean for the new civs? I'll have to look into that.

Tried the latest changes on my savefile, and the AI still makes barely any military units. Most cities only have 1 or 2 units still, even after a few turns and the AI was not making that much more military
