NOTW LV: The Underground (Game Thread)

Sprig's logic bothers me. It's unusually basic, as if he wants to appear helpful without putting in a lot of effort. We've got a whole day's worth of behavior to analyze already.

Precisely. :crazyeye:

Even while knowingly selecting a group that has significant numbers that could cause problems particularly as my flimsy argument effectively points at all of them rather than one.

Case in point below.

Sprig is trying to kill my kind, and I frown on that sort of thing.

Yeah well someone actually did kill my kind and I bet it was one of you.

As it stands, I'm struggling to find how "there's a lot of golems" translates to "golems are killing refugees".

IRL: First of all, sorry everyone for not participating as much as I normally would. I had an illness (probably food poisoning) over the weekend, coupled with a rather hectic university schedule.

In Game: Anyways, I'll take this post to comment on things that struck me as odd since my JHT vote.

unvote; Vote: spaceman

Nope, but voting me for making a vote which was clearly in jest is.

I voted for you because your vote was clearly lazy and non-contributing. You responded by OMGUSing me and saying nothing more. You still look like a viable candidate to me.

The Sprig wagon is questionable IMO for the simple reason that I doubt that the orcs would pretend to be someone from Sheaim lands. After all, given what that nation... practices... people from there are already natural suspects, and likely to have their own goals. I think Sprig is more likely to be a third-party than one of the killers.

OOC: Now you're just metagaming and WIFOMing. Who's to say that the orcs wouldn't pretend to be Sheaim because they thought about your line of reasoning and figured we wouldn't look at the Sheaim as a result?

Well, public roles are given to us for something, are they not? Reliable or otherwise, their the only solid information the GM gives us. I'm aware of the WIFOM involved, so its a weak defense, but its all I've got at this point.

Is it general tradition in NOTW that those publically stated roles don't mean anything?

They could mean anything. Or nothing.

Assuming something purely because of a public role is silly.

I agree, bladescape is bahaving more strangely than other accused. And there is not much to base accusations on for now.

So... when exactly is the day ending now?

2.5 hours to nominal end of day. However, since several people said they'd be away this weekend and I didn't post a mid-day update, I will give a 24 hour extension if fewer than 12 votes have been cast at that time. This will be the last extension

Snerk has volunteered to reincarnate as a replacement if necessary. I will select a random person who has neither voted nor messaged me to replace at the start of the next day phase, if any such person exists.

Current Vote tally:
sprig:2 landlubber, bladescape
johnhughthom: 2 spaceman, takhisis
bladescape:1 Backwards Logic
Backwards Logic: 1 Riedquat
robbiecon:1 sprig
jarrema: 1: Visorslash
spaceman: 1 johnhughthom

No votes for Visorslash in the vote tally? Accidental, or suspicious?

I have choxorn/spaceman as town for reasons i won't go into just yet

riedquat as well

bladescape is my no1 scum lean

not feeling amazing on sprig/zack so far

rest of you i'm pretty neutral on

Accidental. Day ends in 13 hours.

Cool, Thanks for the clarification Autolycus. I will Unvote: Visorslash for the moment.

That worked better than I thought it would.

Unvote: Sprig
Vote: Zack

I would like an explanation to the above post though, so I shall raise my eyebrows to bladescape
