NOTW XL: Return of the Baron (Game Thread)

Southern King you've been awfully quiet, busy tending to your cultist flock?

Earthling, you look unwell. So quiet, so pale. So not your usual chatty self. You didn't even get into the booze, so what's wrong?

It'd be nice if Renata could confirm if what Seon said to her links into what APTG is saying. I'm inclined to agree that the Angels of balance are anti town, or at the very least are against either one of the innocent groups from winning (as their name would suggest,) so a lynch on Seon, if he's looking likely to be an Angel of Balance, certainly seems like the way to go.

(ooc -- I'll talk to ATPG when I catch him and we can compare notes.)

I think Skooma mentioned that the angel was here to warn us about the cult.

It's possible I have this all wrong. It's also possible the angel is the cult, and warning us about the cult is just part of the story/their cover.

I have no idea. These are questions we will get answers to in short order, however, because the instant a cultist dies, it will be very clear whether or not purple is cult.
Man, people complain about the Inns beds, but hot damn them jailer beds are bad!

Classical hero seemed confident there were exactly 3 mafia--a serial killer, the lycanthropes , and the cultists. He said this to me before he died.

So, now, I don't know exactly what that means. Could be randomness, but I for one find it odd that he specifically said he knew that. Especially since that wasn't used for a defensive purpose--i.e. it makes no sense to defend yourself by saying "well there are plenty of mafia out there!".

We note that this is an impalement on a tree, while the previous death the heart was stolen. I'm not exactly sure the death of civplayah is by the cultists who took a heart making a pentagram of leaves and vines, and it certainly isn't by the wolves.

So, many people have background stories that will give more details---is there any credit to a serial killer's existence. If so, this death I think indicates a knifing of the throat and seems more serial killerish; please, people with info try to speak to someone.

I don't know if "Crucifiction" is really colourful language by the all-knowing GM for impalement on the tree or if that is cult related. I don't particularly see this as a cult.

Fair point. Assume the worst until otherwise is proven.

But to the meat of the matter. I think I smell something coming from the good mythmonster2. These posts made me raise an eyebrow.
Interesting. So it appears either the werewolves do not know each other and murdered one of their own by accident... or its not the werewolves who are doing the killing. Regardless, I still stand by my accusation of Kennigit
The thing I found strange about this post is that the victim was not mauled or eaten, but ritually killed. Nothing at all like what a werewolf would do.
Ooooh bugger. Dunno what the hell that is, but if he's an angel, his death ain't good.
Feels a bit forced to me. Both killings are done in similar fashion and both times he makes a point to appear as though he doesn't know anything about it. Are you a cultist Mythmonster2, or is my scumma sense going haywire?

Don't be complaining about me hospitality Kennigit, or I'll toss ye back in there. So nothing from the werewolf front as of yet(I seriously doubt that in a NotW, that the werewolf faction would not know each other). And ATPG says civplayah claimed that he was gonna scan choxorn last night. It seems a good enough reason to kill civplayah, but nonetheless, choxorn would only know of this if ATPG and choxorn were in direct correspondence, which doesn't seem likely from in-thread interactions. I could go for Kennigit, as his being locked up last night might be the reason there was no werewolf kill last night, but it doesn't explain why there was nothing Night 1 from them. Unless as I've previously said landlubber was going to perform the werewolf kill, but someone got to him first, although normally his kill would have been allowed anyway.

And seriously ATPG, what's up with the Seon thing, or is it simply metagaming lulz?

Hence my second point. At this point, I'm almost certain that it's not the werewolves who are doing the killings after all.

Hey, just trying to break the ice. But at this point, still nobody's sticking out to me. I'm not good at this. :(

Midday Day 3
(Tally through Methos' vote)

The morning saw two debates raging simultaneously. The first was over what the intentions of the dead angel were, while the second was once more over who was responsible for the murders. The town was fairly split, although virtually unanimous in their suspicion of circus members, with the fortune teller coming in for a little more suspicion then the rest, while the circus also turned on itself, with the fortune teller and the clown neck-and-neck in claiming dirty glances

Vote Tally
Seon: 4 General Olaf, atpg, Zack, cpdwane
cpdwane: 3 choxorn, methos, aiolos
Earthling: 1 Renata
Camikaze:1 Seon
Choxorn: 1 Camikaze
Southern King: 1 Earthling
TFA: 1 red_spy
mythmonster:1 Skooma
red_spy: 1 TFA

Voting ends in 24.75 hours
Update will be late

The Angels of the Balance: either that's a cultist faction, or neutrals. I'm worried about them. Beginning to think this is more than just a normal NotW.

Mr. Olaf, no NotW is ever normal.

...True :) But this Angels thing may be a large element is what I'm saying. Knowing what they are could be vital.

If I had to choose between Seon and cpdwane, I'd go for cpdwane. Us Circus people are dying like hot cakes here.

And.... Its tied. I am considering switching my vote to that Seon, simply because he is from the circus, and I have known most of you town gents for decades without any mur... ok, well there was Mrs. Townkins, the school teacher, last year, and Madame Zoch, year before that i believe, and what was that Nuns name? Anyway, I am off for a smoke in the study, anyone want to join me?

It's 5 Seon - 4 cpdwane right now, not tied.

Ach, this is getting silly.

I am a delayed roleblocker/skill redirector. I can either force one of you people to become inactive the night after the one which I select you, or if I know which ability you have, redirect it towards the target I want.

I personally do not believe that cpdwane is guilty. He has done nothing in my opinion to definitively suggest his guilt. Meanwhile, I shall do this: Camikaze

However, Earthling reeks of being a scum. I do not see the wall of texts that he creates in every single game. There must be a reason for this.

Southern King Seon I'll make an exception to laying off suspecting fellow circus folk because you are so scummy. As you and apparently a lot of others don't know the definition of a wall of text and are you are lying here regardless, that ought to stop.
