The Petty officer, 3rd class, looked around, everyone seemed to be excited about the death of a Saboteur and the impending party. The officer was initially excited as well but the realisation dawned on him that it probably wasn't a good idea. Surely others would see this too? He wasn't sure, and felt he probably better do his duty. He stood up in front of the others and cleared his throat and hoped they would see reason.
"Despite the saboteurs losing a man, I am sure they are quietly pleased with themselves."
The Petty officer paused to cough and heard a murmur among his listeners. Unperturbed, he would tell them his thoughts whether they liked them or not.
"We have a damaged ship, it needs to be fixed and clearly the damage is going to cause more damage if it is not."
With that news out of the way, I turn now to pontificate the more, eh, bad events from last night. The damage report shows the Bridge damaged again, though theres evidence repairs were also made as well. Despite this effort, the Bridge has suffered more damage than was present yesterday. The Deck was also a casualty of some destruction, but this time the damage is catastrophic. Despite an attempt to repair damage present from yesterday, the Deck was so badly mauled it was beginning to affect compartments below. Due to seawater leakage from above, other compartments below decks began suffering a small amount of damage. Until the Deck is repaired, its likely this damage will continue and possibly get worse.
If we have a party, is it going to get fixed? I am guessing the answer will be
No.
I hate to spell it out to you but that means even more spill-over damage and no one to repair it.
I would also like to draw your attention to the status of key equipment.
Sonar Displays/Projector. Location: Navigation Bridge. Status: Offline. Function: Enables ship to scan for underwater mines and report any potential threats before it becomes an issue.
Aegis Weapons System. Location: CIC. Status: Offline. Function: Defensive net around ship enabling the Impending Retribution to shoot down incoming threats.
We currently have
no way of defending ourselves from external threats. These two systems, I fear are vital. I have seen what a mine can do to a ship and it ain't pretty. Hell, we can't even detect if there is any Mines at all! We have zero idea if a threat exists or not.
So if we have a party, will this system get fixed?"
The petty officer paused, he felt he didn't need to say no a second time. He continued on.
"One last thing, I want to point out is during night 1, Three compartments suffered damage. - A total of 14 points of damage was caused. (4, 4 & 6)
Last night only Two compartments suffered direct damage. I would suggest that the guy who attacked the bridge first night was TFA. As we can see from the write up that at least 6 points of damage was made to the deck (The write up also shows some had been repaired)
So if only 2 were active what was the 3rd guy doing?"
The Petty officer paused for effect. He had a chocolate fish for anyone who could guess, but none ventured a guess. Disappointed he carried on.
"As Captain Methos has told us. The Saboteurs have access to C4, he mentioned that it has fuse and won't explode till the following night. Ok, yes, I do acknowledge that Methos said he cannot verify the authenticity of the information. But I believe this information is correct.
So if we take this into account what are the chances that the 3rd guy was planting some C4?
And if he did, when would it be due to explode..."
"So with all that in mind, I feel the safest option is to put God Emporer or
Landlubber in the brig till we can get the critical repairs to the deck done. That is if it is not to late."
