NOTW XXXIX: Impending Retribution Game Thread

I think we need someone in the position of Lt. Commander.

It's silly not to take advantage of the possible bonuses associated with the position when we have plenty of people to fill it.

I nominate Winston Hughes for the Lt Cmdr position. He seems well-adjusted and stable. YARRRR!!!!

' Now please listen to 'ol Skippy before you wish to sentence my dear friend landlubber.. He was helping me with the party, so unless he can be two places at once, he can not have been related to any of the dire events that took place last night '

Landlubber should have the crate

That is not my point. Do you deliberatly try to mis-lead? My accusation is not one of suspected guilt towards landlubber. He is not guilty of anything as far as i can tell. (though, I did put a wacky theory to Renata who then went all mum.)

Nor do I want to stop the party, Just delay it. My point is that perhaps putting landlubber in the brig will delay the party so that vital repairs can be completed.

If we have the party tonight, the Sabatours will get free damage.

You raise several good points, but it might be too late to stop the party. God Emperor, if one of you is thrown into the brig, roleblocked, injured, etc., will the party happen or will it not happen?

Mama Renata is not a happy camper. I know of two repairs that were to be made last night, that were not. (If we sink because innocent players are not sending orders, I'm going to be so incredibly unhappy, you don't even realize. You'd both better have good explanations.)

Actually, make that three sets of repairs. ARgh.

At least the bridge stacks up correctly, assuming an additional 60% damage last night, same as the night before. Thank you to you know who.

I want the Chief Warrant Officers to talk to me about their rank abilities. I've already heard them from two people; I want the rest to weigh in as well.

I have reason to believe this rifle was stolen from my weapons store. I'd very much like it back.

If that is the case, where is commander DE when you need him? Might as well get plastered....

"Right here, kid. I was just checking to make sure those party-preperations hadn't taken anything out of my stock. Looks like someone's almost drained one of my bottles."

He thinks for a moment before looking at the glass in his own hand. "Oh, nevermind."

Either Duke Blackistone or Diamondeye needs to answer for promoting TheForestAuto a known saboteur.

Nictel, are you tryin' to help this ship, or ain't you? You just forgot to repair things last night? Now I'm sure you'll say you were framed, and ain't that special, but if that's the case you walked right into it, an' how could the killers know that you would? I ain't sure you should live, to be honest. If you do, you will make a verifiable repair every night we have left, until you die or the ship returns to port. D'you understand that, sweetie?

Maybe.

However, an innocent could easily have done the same thing and likely did. And TFA wasn't a "known" saboteur at the time.

The reality of the situation will become clearer as the situation progresses. We don't need to ignore such a lead, but I wouldn't act on it at this time, as it doesn't seem like much of a lead in and of itself.

More data is needed to draw such a conclusion, I feel.

"I had nothing to do with that promotion, I assure you. I promote people I trust."

I tried, but apparently that's not my job. I'm not sure who's job it is either.

"I have found a good candidate for a new lieutenant commander. His promotion should be official by midday."

I asked for answers, nothing more.

If the person who promoted him was a saboteur he would have known this and has a motive to move his friend into a position of power. If not, there must be a reasonable explanation that he bumped down Izipo in order to promote an "unknown" saboteur.

Did you not read the logs about Chandrasekar's platoon? That traitor led them to slaughter in no small part because he was elected the leader of that platoon and was above suspicion and scrutiny. And here we have everyone voting every item to our leader every day and then throwing a party.

This definitely deserves some consideration. I agree more data is needed.

I do believe Sprig is wrong about there bein' only two saboteurs at work last night. Damage seems to be is the same as previous after the repairs that were done, just more concentrated. Maybe no C4 planted. Maybe.
