Nuke Nes: After Victoria

:p:p:p:p:p

I will get one once I write a story. Just as dld; I've been working on it for a while!

Russia also officially states its intentions not to have a world war. Please refrain from attacks on sovereign Russian lands.

Then Britain states that you withdraw from Persia and leave the oil fields alone, only then would a world war threat dissappear.

In the meantime, Britain continues to make preparations to free the Persians from your clutches.

so you know, you barely get any Oil from Persia

Well considering all the nations under British control I am assuming Britain gets her oil from.....

India? Doubtful.
Australia? Does not produce much if any oil.
Canada? Same as Australia.
UCSA? Possibly, but even that is not enough to stastify Britains need for oil.
Texas? Produces them, but our relationship is not the best.

So where?

Ahh, forgot them... *smacks head* *secretly hopes they do not find out and rebel just because I forgot them.:p *

So as you can see we don't want world war. We don't seek oil from Persia. Therefore we politely ask Britain to stand down. We signed an NAP, if you don't remember. So peace.

In the spirit of peace, name some conditions that you would agree to.

Very well, we will call off our divisions. But only if you promise to stop further aggressions against Persia or any middle east nation.

Withdraw from Belgium and return to Status Quo. Or face complete annhiliation by the British army and navy.

As you can see, the alliance has accepted you into our alliance, but you will not get any techs until you prove yourself. Will you accept this offer?

Until peace is resolved we cannot call ourselves off. The Czar hopes you understand this.

Yes, we understand, but just so you know, even though we have called off our divisions, we are still on high alert, wary of your every move.

Story time..... I am in a good story mood today, as this is my 4th story today...

George V was sitting at the head of a long table, at the table sat 4 delegates, Australian Delegate, Nick Johnson; Canadian Delegate, George Monsteau; UCSA Delegate, John Harrison; and Indian Delegate, who is simply known as Ali. King George spoke first,
"Gentlemen, I have called you in today to discuss world events and troop placements. As you no doubt know by now, the Russians have moved onto Persia, they have conquered Iraq and Persia is hanging on by a thin thread. The Royal Navy is in the Persian Gulf waiting for our order to fire on Russian troops should the need arise. The Admirality is mobilizing the navy and placing them on high alert all over the world. I ask that you all do the same."
George Monsteau raised his hand and the king motioned for him to speak,
"Thank you my lord for granting me permission to speak, as you know by now we have successfully bid for the Alaskan territory and expect it transferred to our control soon. But I ask, what of the army? Should they be placed on high alert as well?"
Murmers around the table before King George slammed his gavel down and yelled,
"Quiet! Yes, George, the army will also be placed on high alert. We have divisions placed in strategic locations should something go bad. You know the Russians...." Some chuckles around the table before King George raised is hand again, "As I was saying, I want every one of you to place your military on high alert and be ready for anything. For the UCSA, Texas is unpredictable, even more so with backing from the Second Mexican Empire, be aware. For Australia, you are in a dangerous position so to speak, as you are at the crossroads of the pacific and navies all over the world sail near your continent, be alert. Canada, with Alaska being purchased, be extra carefull with any civilians transferred from Russian hands to yours, as any of them could be spies or hidden soldiers. Move divisions there once you acquire it to ensure safe passage between hands. India is in an even more perilous stituation with the threat of Russia to the north and west, and Japan expanding in China, just be extremely alert and report any sudden changes of power in the area to the British crown immediatly so reinforcements can be secured and sent. I hope this warning helps us survive this tumultous time and avoid a full scale war. Also, this is very important, if any nation comes to you with an offer to rebel against the British Crown or turn against us, come foward with name of nation in question and you will be greatly rewarded. After all at this point Britain has alot of enemies looking to break us up and kill us off one by one, we must not let this happen. We must provide a united front!"
All 4 delegates showed their support by banging their fists on the table.
"Thank you, if there are no more questions, you may leave."
Slowly the delegates stood, saluted and said, "God save the King and the British Empire!" and left.

Rise of the Bear

"My dear sister, Czarina?"

"Yes, of course, following the death of our beloved brother, it behooves me to lead Russia."

"Congratulations," she said ironically.

"Oh, Tatiana, do not think for a second that I wished the death of dear Alexei!"

"Little Alexei, mustn't run and mustn't play." She smiled at the memory of the song he used to chant.

"So, have you a plan?"

"No, not at all." How...off-hand.

-----

There was too, too, too much to do.

And all these endless meetings! Really. The pointlessness of it all was suffocating. But after this, she could take off her royal garments and wear something comfortable. But for now, she had to be the Czarina. Only God and the Czar(ina) know. She knew what she wanted to do.

"I--" she opened her mouth to speak, but unfortunately a messenger ran in.

"Message from Great Britain."

She read it, scanned it, looked for the hidden meanings behind the two lines. It was short. Very well, she'd send a coarse message back.

We understand. Thank you for your understanding. May our countries prosper.

-----

"Anyway," she said, right after she had finished dictating it, catching everybody off guard, "on the matter of Spain."

Everybody sat up in their seats.

"I'm putting my dear sister Anastasia on the throne. Spain needs to return to a proper monarchy. I've wrangled a promise from the Fascists that in return for international recognition, Spain will be a monarchy."

Everybody arched an eyebrow but said nothing. Did Anastasia even approve? Oh well. It didn't matter what she wanted. Olga was a formidable name and she had an iron will. Too bad nobody knew that behind this facade lay a terribly nonchalant czarina.

"On the subject of Persia. I've wrangled out peace between us and Britain."

The room breathed a sigh of relief, all at once.

"So try not to do anything stupid or rash. This war will be over quickly. Maria will enjoy being the queen, I know she will."

Maria flashed a quick smile. She was actually there, unlike Anastasia. She had wanted this, to not live in the shadow of her sister.

"I've also arranged for the return of Vladivostok."

And she said it so off-handedly too!

She dismissed her advisers with nary a comment. Once again, she had left them in the dust. What were they there for but to help the Czarina? But they had failed again.

"It'll be better next time," said Mikhail to his dejected comrades. "I'm sure it will. Next time we'll be able to help her."

A speech by Leonardo Deprezi to the Spanish People

Over the past year our forces have liberated more Spanish laborers from their oppressors. Unfortunately, we have suffered some minor reverses. The colonies of Angola and Namibia were captured by the Boer. Namibia was rightfully Boer territory so we cannot blame them for uniting their people. After all, we too are fighting a war to unite our people. Angola was of no use to Spain and the Boer offer of 3,000 pounds was more then this colony was worth. Plus we can use the money to buy more equipment to fight to Russian puppets.

The fight against the Nationalists puppets goes on! They will stop at nothing to enslave the Spanish people to the Russians. Myself and other communist leaders will fight to our last breath to ensure no Russian monarch will rule ever over Spaniards. I am sure many Spaniards feel the same!

The Nationalist are so desperate that they have used poison gas against military and civilian targets. This is the most cowardly way to fight a war. Real men pick up a rifle and shoot their enemies. Cowards lob shells and indiscriminately kill civilians. Let it be know that any Nationalist solider found guilty of using poison gas will be executed by gas.

For the sake of ending the war, I am asking all people behind Nationalist lines to rise up and fight the Nationalist. The Nationalists are cowards and as soon as they see a popular uprising they will fold. I know this a great risk to you. But, the Republican armies are quickly moving north to finish off the remaining Nationalist armies. Support us and be free! The working man shall triumph!

Latter that month…

A group of international reporters is heading towards a small village. Half an hour before they were shown some artillery pieces recently captured by the Republicans. They appeared to Russian writing indicating they were manufactured in Russia. As they approached the village, the first noticed the bloating carcasses of dead livestock. As the trucks come to stop, the next thing the notice is the eerie silence. No birds singing, no frogs croaking, nothing but the wind blowing. Then they see the truly horrific scene. Dead bodies everywhere. Most of dead are covering their mouths. The most heart wrenching scene was of the mother holding her baby close to her chest as if trying to protect her baby from some unseen airborne assailant. The Republican soldiers lead the reporters to a crater at the edge of the village and the Captain begins to speak.

This crater was created by the gun we first showed you. One week ago it fired a poison gas shell into this village. At the time their were no military units within 3 miles of the village. This was a deliberate attack against 325 innocent civilians who just happened to live on the wrong side of the battle line. This type of indiscriminate killing cannot be tolerated. This attack would not have occurred if were not for the Russian equipment supplied to the Nationalist. We are asking the world to condemn the Nationalist for indiscriminate use of poison gas. We also ask the world to pressure Russia to stop supplying the Nationalists with arms and monies.

The next morning the atrocity was printed in all the major newspapers.

Tomorrow

"How was the meeting?"
"Oh, just this and that."
"And what about that?"
"No idea. We're just supposed to be wary."
"Of what? The Grinch?"
"No, the cowboys."
"The Texans?"
"Who else?"
"The Mexicans. Have you already forgotten?"
"Perhaps I have."
"What are you going to do?"
"I don't know. What shall we do?"
"Two can play at this game. What could he mean by 'wary'?"
"Let's ignore them for now. They're not worth it. We have enough oil in Great Lakes."
"What about the cows?"
"Oh damn. Fouquet, let them eat chickens on Sundays."
"Are you serious?"
"Just kidding."

--------------------------------------------

Texas, Mexico, Canada, Alaska, Russia, and Britain. Damn, those are a lot of countries we're dealking with. One at a time, thought Thomas Haynes. It had just occured to him that he was supposed to be the Lord Governor of America. Only last week, he had sent John Echels to purchase Alaska from Russia, but he came back saying that Canada was willing to pay more. But, he thought, it'll still belong to the Commonwealth, so why should I be worried? We could always make a deal with the Canadians to use some of that land. However, that wasn't what concerned him the most. War. Yes, that's what concerned him, kept him awake at night. Possibly with Russia, possibly with Texas and Mexico, possibly with whoever out there, unexpectedly.

He read the newsapaper. "Nationalists condemned for using poison gas on civilians. Many killed, more diseased." How sad, he thought.

Whatever, I'll deal with those tomorrow morning. And he went to sleep.
