As for the diplo, I know. I just assumed that if they said No, they might as well spread the news...

Well for future reference please do not assume that if a clan says 'no' to diplomacy that they spread the news. I personally know of a few clans who were involved in the plot that will reveal news of this scheme in due time.

If in doubt just assume that you do not know the diplomacy going on between other clans and I urge the players to keep the kinds of nefarious plots such as the high king overthrowing one confined to the realms of PM's so as to avoid any meta-interference.
