"Oh So Very Many Questions Than Before Not Worth Their Own Thread" Thread Vol. XXVI

I'm starting to wonder; what is going on when I'm noticing that I can left objects easier and with no effort when a few months back it was heavy? I noticed this when carrying a gallon of cleaning solution from the chemical closet to my workstation a few yards away.

You're getting stronger, bro. Did you just want to hear it from someone else?

I noticed the same thing after a couple of months at the gym. Everything just got lighter. Dem gainz.

But this isn't a consequence of free trade, this is a consequence of bad domestic policy. We can fix this problem without reducing imports for the sake of it.

It's a lot of things. If you prefer pulling on a different string to artificially remove that consequence of free trade from free trade, or reduce that consequence of free trade from free trade, then advocate that. But don't pretend that consequence of the policy isn't there. It is there, to say otherwise is, well, duplicitous if ungenerous. Naively selecting the inputs you want to see if more generous?

I really don't think the mods will be pleased with that.

Uh, yeah.

I have moderate acne. Occasionally, I got huge pimples that would swell up. Usually they were easy to pop and drain within a few days, but there's one that has faded to obscurity, yet hasn't gone away for two years. It doesn't feel like something that can be popped at all, and is soft and doesn't hurt. Is it a cyst? And if so, what should I do about it?

Another question: I need to get some blackheads removed, and I don't trust my father to do it without giving me scars. Is it worth seeing a dermatologist simply for a procedure? Facial creams (even prescription ones) aren't worth a damn, and I'm waiting till I'm in Israel to get on Roaccutane because the regulations are more lenient there.

Yes to both. In regards to the cyst, usually you don't have to get it checked out but you can do so if you want. Normally they are harmless. I have one myself just beside my left eye.

If you say so. :/ I don't really see anything bad with it. It's the part with the skank drug addict.

That you call her a skank drug addict is probably why you don't like the episode. :dunno:

I find her to be one of the more relatable, honest, good characters despite her obvious problem (enabled by her also more relatable, honest, good character relative to... others despite his obvious problems).

Former could be a cyst, formed by a furuncel which did not open.
What you should do about it: Go to a dermatologist, he'll know.

As I see Synsensa: Besides the eye actually could have been damn dangerous. Bad idea to not see a doctor in that case.

I'm going to refrain from commenting. I can however assure you that I myself don't want it. Can they be removed easily?

Popping and/or picking at acne is not a good idea. Can lead to some pretty nasty looking scarring later in life. Also generally exposes the skin to infection, which is not fun. Much like with poison oak, you're much better off leaving it alone and waiting it out.

It's also the consequence of cheap energy, technology growth, skill growth, infrastructure improvement, capital creation, larger labor supply, etc. Why is free trade a special exception for you? Failure to correct for the drawbacks while maintaining the benefits is something we can do on the national level like we can do with all of these things.

Mismanagement doesn't have to mean "this is why we can't have nice things"....

The big ones practically popped on their own. I'd be in the shower and suddenly find pus dripping onto my hands.

Well, I'm curious of what's going on with the muscles that does that :p.

My favorite go-to for functional anatomy lessons is bro scientist of nobel quality, eliot hulse. He has loads of videos and they're fun to watch.

I'm not sure that it is. It's merely what was being discussed.

Perhaps it's just a bit more raw on the winners/losers shuffling than some things if you want to get stuck on it. I complain less about cheap food because cheap food helps those on the bottom the most. I complain less about cheap energy because cheap energy helps those on the bottom disproportionately in keeping them warm and with functional freedom of movement. Cheap "stuff" helps them some too, but ultimately a lot of stuff is luxury purchases, or at least unnecessary ones. Sure, people with little/no extra cash shop Walmart, but at a certain point we really move into the territory where the prime beneficiaries are ultimately the people who were winning already. Now they just win harder.

Of all the things that afflict me, a cyst I've had for 9 years is low on the list of worries. ;)

Not at home. At least, not safely.

Oh, no, I really like that episode. Mouthwash said the Mods wouldn't like the episode.
