Why is the United States barring a persecuted Iraqi Catholic nun — an internationally respected and leading representative of the Nineveh Christians who have been killed and deported by ISIS — from coming to Washington to testify about this catastrophe? Earlier this week, we learned that every member of an Iraqi delegation of minority groups, including representatives of the Yazidi and Turkmen Shia religious communities, has been granted visas to come for official meetings in Washington — save one. The single delegate whose visitor visa was denied happens to be the group’s only Christian from Iraq. Sister Diana Momeka of the Dominican Sisters of Saint Catherine of Siena was informed on Tuesday by the U.S. consulate in Erbil that her non-immigrant-visa application has been rejected. The reason given in the denial letter, a copy of which I have obtained, is: You were not able to demonstrate that your intended activities in the United States would be consistent with the classification of the visa. She told me in a phone conversation that, to her face, consular officer Christopher Patch told her she was denied because she is an “IDP” or Internally Displaced Person. “That really hurt,” she said. Essentially, the State Department was calling her a deceiver.
Yet this also happened on his watch.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have knowingly released nearly more than 165,000 criminally-convicted illegal immigrants during President Obama's tenure as chief executive, including many charged with violent crimes like robbery, kidnapping and sexual assault.

Documents obtained by the nonprofit transparency watchdog Judicial Watch show that federal immigration officials released 165,900 illegal immigrants with criminal convictions into the nation, as well as an additional 706,000 illegal immigrants who had not been convicted of crimes, as of April 26, 2014.

The documents also describe some of the difficulties presented to federal immigration officials in dealing with sanctuary cities — local jurisdictions like San Francisco that refuse to cooperate with efforts to return illegal immigrants to their home countries.

Judicial Watch obtained the documents after the department attempted to sidestep its May 2014 FOIA. The nonprofit sued the department in federal court.

"It's appalling that we've had to sue in federal court to get key information about the Obama administration's release of 165,950 convicted criminal aliens," said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch.
So it seems rapists and other serious criminals are okay but one Catholic Nun is prevented because she might claim asylum, which she denies she will do? The hypocrisy of this current administration is shocking. He is quite clearly a leader without any morals.

And this relates to the president how exactly? Visas and immigration are personally being overviewed by the presidency in your opinion?

These Nineveh Christians apart from being a religious minority also happen to be an ethnic minority in Iraq - Assyrians:

"Iraqi Assyrian child":

They have been present in the Near East for thousands of years before Muslim Arab invaders came from the south:

History of Assyrians: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Assyrian_people

The history of the Assyrian people begins with the formation of Assyria circa 2500 BC, followed by rise of the Akkadian Empire during the 24th century BC, in the early bronze age period. Sargon of Akkad united all the native Akkadian-speaking Semites and the Sumerians of Mesopotamia (including the Assyrians) under his rule. After the fall of the Akkadian Empire, the Akkadians split into two nations, Assyria in the north and much later, Babylonia in the south. However, Babylonia unlike Assyria, was founded and originally ruled by non indigenous Amorites, and was more often than not ruled by other waves of non indigenous peoples such as Kassites, Hittites, Elamites, Arameans and Chaldeans. (...)

Next time you wonder why is ISIS destroying ancient monuments, remember - because it's not their heritage, but of indigenous populations.

Maybe U.S. administration is not letting Assyrians in because they don't fit the modern image of a "persecuted minority".

1) Given that its the examiner deciding to use internal deportation numbers only instead of Republican G.W.Bush whom decided that turn back counts as deportation
The usual Republican distortion of facts.

2) Suspect that these serious criminals are actually charged with .... being illegals which is now a criminal conviction.

3) Since Obama has now priorities ... serious criminals to be deported first.
With a very public executive order.

Okay, part one is blatantly inflammatory and false. The woman had her request denied while all the others weren't...and someone wants to pretend the only thing that made her unique in the group was that she is a nun.

In fact there are a number of things that make her unique in the group, and the significant one is that she is officially classified as a displaced person. Because she is officially classified as a displaced person she is eligible to defect and seek asylum. Because she is a displaced person her request was denied, which is in accordance with policy.

What CH and his ilk are actually demanding is that the standard policy regarding visa requests by displaced persons should be set aside in this case, just because she is a nun.
