Would have more details about that?

Thanks for asking. I seem to have muddled through, but the details may be interesting. Suspecting the options problem was due to the front end on Sto's Full of Resource map generator, I tried to rename the mod "Fall from Heaven 2 - Orbis" as recommended. This failed (see GFC error), but apparently it got far enough to fix the options so all the "visible" ones appeared. However "No FOL" was not a visible option, so I went back to edit GameOptionInfos and made everything visible. And sure enough, next time I started a game, the "No FOL" option was on -- even though GameOptionsInfos said the default was for it to be off. Once I unchecked it, all was well.

My theory is that something somewhere is accidentally turning on the No FOL option. Maybe the Flavour Start option, which looks like it was tacked on and oddly enough is turned on by default but not visible.

Did you start a Play Now! game? This clears out all options but defaults ones. Ahwaric turned many options to invisible because they weren't that used. FlavourMod is on by default with Orbis and so good that Ahwaric thought it was useless to desactivate it. I agree that there's little point in desactivating it.

Just found this very weird bug. Playing a game as the kuriotates, and a goblin is ready to attack my capital when i end the turn. Notice that there is two warriors in the city, but the goblin proceeds to kill me??
It almost looks like the goblin moves through the city, to attack the worker? Edit: i believe this is what's happening, as i just tried deleting the worker, and everything proceeded as normal.

I've replicated the bug Shrike2005 reported and I found that it even works if the goblin moves through the city tile to attack the worker on the other side. Very odd.

What should I do about this GFC error "failed to initialize primary control theme"? I tried to rename the Orbis folder, but apparently something (soundtrack?) still wants the old name.

Did you try making a copy of Orbis (thus having a Orbis folder and another folder named how you want) instead of renaming it?

I forgot I'd already mentioned this. I'll try making a copy.

EDIT: It worked! Thanks for the help.

it's bug or intended feature ??

(Orbis modmod)
(if somebody don't see it - +94:yuck: from Blight)

Hmm... Best feed on that city while you can.

i pressed that little "X" button in most right-top corner of screen .. :D
well ... my economy wasn't very strong, my research was funded by cities and my tech tree was VERY strange - i miss +commerce from farms in aristocracy ... :'(

City size of 41 should only be capable of getting 55 disease from blight, and that is if you get the worst possible roll on the 15 random blight (0-14 extra) and have absolutely no buildings which give health bonuses in the city.

You have 5 health from buildings, so that means you shouldn't be able to get more than 50 disease, so it sure looks like you got hit twice AND had bad luck on both randoms.

I found an interesting bug. If you have Nox Noctis and some troops who are cloaked, you can't use them to capture any cities adjacent to your borders. I noticed this when I captured a fort adjacent to an AI city (stupid AI fort placement). This cloaked my troops in the fort, greatly confusing me when I couldn't capture the enemy city with them.

Of course I eventually realized I should use the reveal ability, but I'm not sure if that's the intended way to do it.

Is this right? I have all the Barbarian options turned on and Goblins seem to be spawning in mobs of 4. I could be that Lizardmen are also spawing in 2s. Makes for some exciting battles out on the frontier.

@Caradoc: Yeah, I rarely see barbarians alone now.

@LagDemon: I don't know  I guess invisible units can't capture cities... like I think they can't explore lairs (at least Ratcatchers can't).

I am still having an odd graphic bug that not is going away. I have two machines and my laptop runs XP and the machine I'm on now has Vista. Recently after patching to the new version of the Orbis Mod I'd get this odd graphic problem where most of the graphics have dropped out. To fix it, I'd have to reboot. I could play the Planetfall mod or the Legends of Revolution but the Rise of Mankind mod would give me the same sort of problems. Plus, once I activated either Orbis (or FfH for that matter) or RoM, then if I unloaded the mod and went to one I knew worked, they had the same graphic problem.

I unloaded my DirectX driver (per a comment here) and reloaded to the current but so far no joy. I don't understand what is graphically different about FfH/Orbis or RoM but not LoR or Planetfall?

Any suggestions? (I have pics of this graphic problem in my previous post of #620)

Do you have this on all of your machines?
Did you try clearing the cache?
Did you try to reinstall it all?

This is weird

I've done everything. I've done full computer cleanings using different programs. I've had my laptop checked to see if all my drivers are up to date.

While I haven't reinstalled it yet, the Rise of Mankind mod was newly installed in its new 2.07 form so I'm not sure how reinstalling Orbis would affect it. Plus, as I said, if I play RoM or Orbis/FfH, the graphic problem will then 'infect' other mods I don't have problems with and only a reboot clears it out.

Hmm, if it's cleared out by a reboot, then maybe it's a cache thing. But I don't see why no one would have told you anything about that before. You tried just starting a mod with SHIFT held?

??? No, what does that do? I've also tried to not jump right into the mod. For some reason I've noticed that if you load Orbis from the shortcut, it seems to take along time, but if you activate BtS and then load the mod it goes much quicker and often won't crash if I'm loading up a late war game that is starting to tax my system requirements.
