another one, sorry!

it seems minor khazad leaders lose the civilization trait 'expert miners' which lets them work mountain peaks when they gain themselves a new trait.

even though it displays on the leaderflag in the that the trait is still there it isn't implemented ingame where the peaks inside khazad borders appear just like normal, no yields.

bit irritating when you deliberately place your cities with mountains in the BFC because you can work them now :crazyeye:
 
2 things. 1st, wouldn't let me build mines on hills. I could build quarries. But since mines are really what that's for, kinda annoying.

2nd, about turn 400 or so, got caught in a permanent state of revolution. Didn't say I was in revolution. Just had my current tech permanently stuck at 1 and couldn't build anything in my cities.

1. That's intentional. You can build mines to harvest metals and mushrooms, but mostly you'll be building quarries. Quarries are the new mine.

2. Are Illians in the game? Their world spell, Stasis, shuts down production and research for other civilizations for 20 turns.

Well, ok. Though if anyone knows of a way to switch back to normal in xml, that'd be nice. If not, whatever. It's not a big deal.

They were, but I don't think they cast their worldspell. I could be wrong.
 
If they did it should be shown above the score.... how many turn's statis are left... in red

Well, the Illians didn't use Stasis; don't see what you're talking about.


But it appears to be fixed...

Oddly enough, I reloaded it, and my techs and production were back to normal. I'm not sure what happened. :confused:
 
LE .3 Orbis 0.24b. I starting playing at that patch level so some of these comments may be addressed. Apols for lack of saves:

Bugs

* No Trophy for more than 20 promotions on a Mimic. (Grr!)
* Thespian / Globe Troupe: Gave +1 Gold, +1 culture, -3 Gold (I owned 1 Silk): Shouldn't that be +1 Espionage, +1 Culture and -3 gold. +1 gold and then -3 Gold seems counterproductive. Also how do Guilds work? - Do they use up my resources completely, or can I still use them for the happiness / health bonuses?
* Divided Soul referred to TXT_KEY_INVISIBLE_ALL
* Some of the GPs were reused... (Not much of a bug really)
* Printing Press referred to the original BtS Civpedia text
* Aguar graphics looked very "blocky"
* Chopping forests with Smoke - 1 turn to go: Each turn there was a new forest and it would take me 1 turn to cut it down.
* I couldn't adopt a religion. I saw another thread implying a ropy upgrade path on my account.

Balance

* Aristocracy: The Culture bonus is unnecessary. How about giving a Culture / Happiness / Production bonus to all Palaces and Citadels instead.
* It's probably me, but there seemed to be a heck of a lot of GP. For most of the 200s, someone seemed to get a GP.
* Printing Press - Humanism isn't that great and if you're not first there, that's all it has to offer. Maybe it should give a Science bonus to all Libraries and Mage Guilds.

Ideas

* Ratcatchers should have the capacity to gain Inquisitor as a promotion. Being able to drive out unwanted cults from your borders sure sounds like Espionage to me.
* New Promotion: Sentry III. Available at Optics, Requires Sentry II. Only available to Recon, Naval and Fort Commanders.
* New Promotion: Alpine: Recon Units only. Requires Guerilla I. Allows unit to cross mountains. (Possibly available at some tech, but which one? Mining maybe?)
* Thespian: How about an entertain ability. Use the code from Loki, but Entertain only provides a happiness bonus and grants all Theatres. Also Theatres ought to give Thespian +2XP.
* Orc "Barbarian" Art - I don't like it. The firt time I saw it I wondered what it was and that's never a good sign for an icon. I like the black and white design for Animals / Demons / Orcs, but a skull on a spike or the Orc from the old board game Heroquest might be a better choice for the Orcs.
* A Great Commander Bar at top (See Screenshot of the Day #36 for example)
* Give Host of E the Guardsman promotion.

Hmm... I guess it's LE's fault. If I recall correctly, .3 had a bug that would prevent religions from working if you loaded a save. Did someone found a religion?

Yeah, many GPs around, many Great Engineers...

That would be sad for being a dwarf, now that everyone would be like you!

You mean the flag?

Personally I think some things should stick to certain civs. Imho, this is one of those things. Besides, I can see balance issues if everyone has benefits dwarves should have.
 
Just an FYI, anyone who founds Prospectors Guild can field dwarven units than can be upgraded and cross mountains. I was playing Mechanos and putting out single turn prospectors, giving them two mobility promotions and the +15% withdrawal +1 defense strength worker promotion, then turning them into Heavy Infantry for 60 gold, then sending them over the mountains at my enemies. I don't know if this is broken or intended
 
Yeah, Prospectors having double mobility promotion and being able to upgrade to Heavy infantry was a pretty big exploit :p
