I think you've misunderstood what affinity means: it increases a unit's combat strength,*not* their 'rank' in that particular element. +1 affinity and 5 mana of that type = +5 strength.
Exactly - affinity 1 means you get one point of strength per 1 avaliable mana of that type. Affinity 2 means 2 pointes per one instance of the resource (as bananas work that way too)
..it seems that my scout is a big red blob ...why is that... i have bts 3.19 and all current patches of orbis.....still....
am playing as ethine the white of elohim.....
Wrong base version of FfH - you did not apply patch with elohim art prior to installing orbis.

Not that anyone complains (as there is not much traffic here anyway), but sorry people for being absent for some time.
Got sick and that it is not a good idea to bugfix with a fever ;)
Also, Dragon Age takes my time. I would show my online achievements profile but it requires login anyway ;)

Anyway, I am back to relatibvel;y good health and will continue work on the new patch. Hoplfully it will be out for the next weekend.

In the Fall of Cuantine Scenario it's possible(and pretty easy) to win via a domination, or any other kind of victory, prior to completing the scenario objectives.

Dragon Age is really good, I've sunk around 80 hours into it already, 70 for my first playthrough as a rogue and 10 more as a mage.

Mods will add replay value ;)

And also, the different ways you can play. Shapeshifter mage, Duelist warrior, 2-Handed warrior, etc. Plus the different outcome of each quests, the different relations you can build up with your allies...

Even if I only play though it twice.... Dragon Age is still 150 hours of stuff. Much better than almost any game out there bar Civ.

And if people can start making modules for it, in the same way as has happened for Neverwinter Nights 2 (which has some truly beautiful mods - go play the Subtlety of Thay), then it will have the potential for hundreds of hours beyond that too.

What I love most about DA though is that the combat is actually tough. There aren't many RPGs out there that also added in a nontrivial tactical difficulty element.
What I hate most: the stupid camera, and how limited it is in cities.

first..sorry for my bad english :)

but....i still can't understand why wordbuilder don't want to normally save maps?
maybe I miss something?

what I seriously disliked in NWN2 series that you either had to spend tons of hours trying to build effective character or did what I had to do: follow "character builder guides" from internet.

playing normally - to level character with some forethought - ended up in some mess, usually. "warrior/barbarian" were built using common logic( just try to increase raw damage) but other characters alread were too complicated.

More on the scenarios, I keep getting a CTD whenever I try to start the scenario 'Into the Desert', having chosen the Calabim option. The crash happens in the first part of the initialization.

I was worried!
Nice of you :)

Don't worry, with all the mistakes I make I should be sorry every time.
What is your problem with saves? I think it works the same way in BtS and in Orbis.

Ok, will take a look. But I guess it is just design, not something Orbis introduced.
Still, would be nice to fix it.

Ok, will take a look too.
"Oh beloved bug thread, I shall mourn your passing"
Wipe your tears.
I started separate thread for RPG games. So I hope bug thread is saved. ;)

Noticed a bug, it seems Elohim are unabble to build Hospitaliers.

Wait: you need Medicine too, nevermind.

Yet, I could build Paladins no problem.
