Overrated Bands

You're damn right Aerosmith is better than Pink Floyd! Pink Floyd is music for people who want to act like they're quasi-enlightened because people think their albums are "dude, like so..deeep." I maintain that Pink Floyd is utter crap. Aerosmith is infinitely better.

No, lets be fair now pink floyd have the longest selling albums of all time ever, top 100 in american bill board charts for what was it 15 years? dark side and wish you were here. You have to be very good to achieve that, what have aerosmith added to music- the theme tune to armageddon. I dont doubt that aerosmith was good but saying better than pink floyd- you have to be joking.

Drumming technique and *chops* certainly have evolved, but not *that* much (many of the instrument's best performers predated, or at least were peers with, Ringo)

He was leading with his off hand, which no one was doing.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter if he was a technical genius or whatever, he was the Beatles drummer and just as much a Beatle as the other three. They chose Ringo to replace their original drummer because they liked his style and his attitude towards the group. Ringo kind of held the group together through some tough situations, that come when you have three amazing talents and big egos chafing, all the time. I don't think he gets enough credit.

Have you listened to more than just Schism and The Pot? These guys are amazing, and I've rarely heard them rated all that well to begin with, so how do you figure they're overrated? Guess you just don't dig it? Fair enough. But damn, they can rock.

Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park shouldn't even need to be mentioned here. The only overrating they get is by 14-year-old twerps who just want something loud and obnoxious to blast in their rooms to upset their parents. Unless we're starting to take them seriously...

Oasis had some good songs, but they had a terrible time trying to create ANYTHING new and exciting after Wonderwall and the Morning Glory album in general

Elvis, Johny Cash, Poison, Motley Crue, and 80s hair metal band that was good, slayer, pantera, trivium, avenged sevenfold. With the first four I think there just utter crap, but with the ohters I think there definately good, just way overated.

Linkin Park are one of the most hated bands on forums and such, so i would hardly call them overrated

And if you want to upset your parents i doubt youl play Linkin Park, considering with the no swearing in ther and everything. Linkin Park is a parents dream

The klaxons- aye they've got a couple of good songs but they're being heralded by NME as brining in new-rave. some of it my mate compared to the music in hyrule castle in legend of zelda.
