Paradox Interactive games

I agree. There are AOG subforums that haven't been posted in this year. On the other hand, half of CFC seems to play Paradox games.

I get the feeling quite a number of Total War and Civilization players have been slowly converting to PI over the years (though I still think Total War is great).

And you think that creating a subforum for one companies games that only has a few semi-active threads will fare any better than the other useless subforums that are almost completely dead? AoG itself isn't very busy and the Paradox threads are neither plentiful nor raping your daughter crowding out other threads.

... you can already do that with the existing threads. There are threads for each of their games, they just keep going inactive because there isn't much deep discussion going on very often.

More forum space will allow more interesting conversations over more than one thread.

And by my count, nine out of forty-five of the threads on the first page of the forum are dedicated to Clausewitz games.

A sub-forum would decrease traffic. Look at all of the other AOG sub-forums, and how inactive they are. They weren't always that way.

They are mostly old game that are past their sell-by date. Paradox have old and new games and more coming too.

Some of you seem to be taking personal offence at a new sub-forum being set up. What harm will it do?

It's a lot better than having to sift through all the generic threads in AOG. I am sure the people who want to talk Paradox will be able to find the subforum labelled "Paradox." We don't need our hands holding.

No.. because the Civ forums are like AOG..

A P'Dox Subforum would be alot less visible and would decrease traffic to both as stated before.

Get rid of the crappy forums that no one visits and make a new Paradox one. You guys a making a mountain out of a molehill. If it doesn't work then get rid of the forum at a later date; nothing major.

Or we can just keep the way things are. No reason to make a Paradox forum when the number of active threads usually hover around ~1-2. There isn't so much activity in these threads that Paradox needs a sub-forum.

Under that logic, we should get rid of the Civ forums and merge them into AOG. After all, it would increase traffic and AOG and make the Civ games more visible?
We should stick fifty oranges in a small apple tree? How is that similar in any way?

Look at this thread alone; it has over 2000 posts about every Paradox game.

There is no sense at all in keeping numerous defunct, empty forums when they could be cleaned up and replaced with one that could actually see some use. How it could "reduce traffic" is beyond me, all it does is add one extra click to people's search. If anything, it would work out quicker as they won't have to look through threads related to a whole host of other games too.

And most of the threads on this page aren't even active, including those paradox ones. There is PLENTY of space in AoG. Making a subforum won't magically make it better.

There aren't many threads to "sift through" in AoG.

Seeing how the moderation has completely failed to do anything about the dead subforums except move the Spore forum to AoG so it takes hogs screenspace that is unlikely. The mods don't like undoing what they have done, either.

As has been repeatedly pointed out and proven by the other subforums, it will get a decrease in the amount of traffic. Yes, clicking an extra button actually is a problem and an entirely unnecessary move for a topic that barely takes up a few active threads and is one of the main things keeping AoG alive.

These subforums were all set up with the same idea, that they would be busy enough to warrant their own sub-forum. A few of them maybe did for a while, but for the most part they stopped being active in more than a thread (at most) years ago. Even the Total War forum is unnecessary (or at least ON THE WRONG PAGE).

I have long sicne gotten sickand tired of scrolling pas so many dead forums just ot get to the actual threads in AoG.
