Paul Ryan loves Rage Against the Machine

"Paul Ryan is the embodiment of the machine our music rages against"

Ha!

Seriously, what a douche.

I will shoot myself in the head if the "youth vote" actually buys this.

He obviously has an awfult taste in music, (that is if we can call Rage Against the Machine Music)

All the answers are given. So there's no reason to engage the brain to think about them.

I like Mozart, Phish, and a little RATM too. I don't like Rand, however.

What?

Good that he gets called out for trying to be "hip" (I seriously doubt they're his favourite band).

But I must say that RATM shouldn't take themselves too seriously either. I don't think most of their fans care all that much about the political content, or lyrics in general for that matter.

We're commies against the capitalist system! Buy our music!:crazyeye:

It's phony, overrated and mostly bad. I find most people stop liking them so much when they get girlfriends and stop being 18.
And Paul Ryan is phony, overrated and entirely bad for our future.

This is why I far prefer such ultraconservative Christians to burn rock albums DVDs instead of claiming to like the spawn of Satan music.

What does that say about Paul Ryan?

This reminds me of the time when RATM's music was being used to torture people at Guantanamo.

Just because everybody doesn't take them seriously doesn't take away from the value of their message.

I don't see what separates them from any other political and social critics. Their message is a bit more superficial, but that's just because of the rock music format. They definitely seem to know what they're talking about though.

And a bit more hypocritical as well.

Sure, but it means that they shouldn't expect everyone to listen to them because of their message. Including Paul Ryan.

I mean, if they want to attack Paul Ryan, they should attack him for the attempt to appeal to young voters by claiming to like a band that's "edgy" somehow.
