Nellie Bly, the first (nonfictional) person to travel around the globe in 80 days or less. It took her 72 days.

She brought with her the dress she was wearing, a sturdy overcoat, several changes of underwear and a small travel bag carrying her toiletry essentials. She carried most of her money (£200 in English bank notes and gold in total as well as some American currency) in a bag tied around her neck

EDIT: Blech. Nevermind, Rosie was covered at the top of this page by Tycho. I responded before viewing the rest of the unread posts. Hats off to you, Tycho, for remembering them! :hatsoff:

May I ask why fully clothed women in position of empowerment can't be sexy ? I think womens like being sexy - and we are not in the position to order when they should or should not be sexy - it's their call to make and besides I think that saying that fully clothed woman in position of empowerment must not be sexy is stereotyping and generalizing. I say it should be fully clothed womans in position of empowerment that can decide for themselves if they like to be sexy or not ! :D

No, that's current and past.
Again from the site, this time in full: "The following is a list of female presidents and prime ministers who are presently in power as of JANUARY 15, 2013." Bold by me.

So you don't much care for this thread do you? So why you here then?

Edit: Here's a bonus. These women aren't actually empowered, but they totally deserve to be here. P. Riot.

Double Edit: And... it turns out to be a huge pic. So behind spoilers it goes.

Yeah. That voting thing really worked out well in Iraq during the illegal occupation to elect the puppet government, while many political parties were not even allowed to exist. Not to mention women had the right to vote since 1980.

I just want to point out that Forma thinks women in Iraq were able to vote in 1980. Sort of like how North Korea is actually democratic right? It's important that people understand the depths of Forma's hipocracy.
