Pizza!

You've honestly never heard the expression "Pizza pie"?. Whilst I'm agreement that it's both silly and superfluous and that yeah....Americans lol....I'm surprised it's new to you.
I've only heard it on The Flintstones and read it in Archie comics. I didn't know real live people used such a silly phrase.

My own favorite kinds of pie are saskatoon, blueberry, and banana.

I'm not defending the phrase itself, but as rugbyLEAGUEfan says, it's a real thing dudes.

_________

So what I'm getting from this thread is everyone is too pretentious to admit reality:

We'd all be happy to scarf down a $3 Wal Mart pizza after we've had a few. :p
Wal-Mart sells pizza? Mine does in the frozen food section, but they cost more than $3.

My favorite pizza place is Family Pizza, and my favorite of what they offer is the Chicken Taco pizza. However, I always tell them to substitute mozzarella for the cheddar (the cheddar is too strong).

Add me to the list of people who also enjoys Papa John's. Sometimes a person just craves certain kinds of pizza, and the above-mentioned Family Pizza doesn't offer that.

Wal-Mart sells pizza?
Yeah, they sell both 'Great Value' brand frozen pizza and the cheeseburger variety of that brand is atrocious. The rest are okay, if subpar.

They also sell a 'fresher' i.e. not frozen, line of pizzas under the brand Market Fresh or something. They aren't frozen and I think they're actually made in-house in the deli/bakery section of the local Wal Marts. Those are actually pretty good.

but they cost more than $3.
It was an exaggeration meant to connote poor quality. Though I don't think the Great Value brand frozen pizzas are much above $5 - the Market Fresh line is closer to $10. I'll do some comparison shopping next time I'm at Wal Mart.

Oh and these are heartland US prices, so they're probably going to be less than other regions and countries as well.

What is a cheeseburger pizza. Do I want to know?

It's a pizza with ketchup (though sometimes it's just regular tomato sauce), cheddar cheese, bacon and hamburger meat. Done right it can be really good. Oh and sometimes they add onions and shredded lettuce (the lettuce goes on after it's cooked so it's crispy). The Wal Mart frozen cheeseburger pizza is awful, it has basically no sauce and is super dry with a bad crust and they skimp on the toppings.

My city of Selma doesn't have any pizzarias that aren't chains; we have Little Caesar's, Dominio's, and Papa John's. I am told Papa John's is the best, while Little Caesar's is the cheapest. I like peppers, olives, and pepperoni, but haven't had more than a slice in the last two or three years since becoming health-conscience....I started out minimizing salt and then carbs, so pizza is steaming evil in a greasy box!

Back in school I sometimes combined pepperoni pizza with ranch dressing.

Deep fried pizza;)

Are you from Washington state?

What is your favorite pizza style? Mass produced chain pizza.

What is your favorite pizza restaurant? Casey's General Store, but I usually do Pizza Hut which is also fine.

What are your favorite toppings? Pepperoni, mushrooms, and very rarely when in a salty mood yes I do like to get anchovies. Oh, and I have to say that Casey's breakfast pizzas farking rule.

What is your favorite frozen pizza? Whatever the hell is on sale at my local CountryMart.

How do you like to prepare pizza when you make it homemade? I don't.

How much are you willing to spend on a good pie? Depends on size. A large? $10-15 depending on whether I have it delivered or do carry-out, how many toppings, etc.

I'll eat any pizza as long as I peel off the cheese. I'll eat the other toppings seperatly, and therefore love meatball pizza for the meatballs. But the cheese comes right off, and is either given to my dad or thrown out. Also, I'll pour ranch dressing on the cheeseless pizza if I can find any.

I recently was convinced to try putting fresh arugula on a cooked pizza. It was remarkably tasty. Like, really, really tasty

I've tried this, but I've found that it's only really useful as a garnishing, it's physically impossible to put significant quantities of fresh greens on pizza.

Spinach I manage by very carefully stacking, and then it collapses down when it's cooked.

Casey's has good pizza? Hmm I will have to try it then. About their breakfast pizza though:

Hey VR (you're bound to show up):
How is Casey's General Store's pizza? They started an ad campaign stating how awesome it is and I'm skeptical. I'm not even that fond of their breakfast pizza, but it's the only kind I can find that I don't have to make from scratch or microwave.
I don't know, it's just not that good. Well, it is good but I've had a lot better. They don't use gravy for the sauce here, they have some sort of weird cheese sauce they use and they skimp on it so the slices are always somewhat dry, doubly so when they've been under the lamp for a while but that doesn't count.
I loved Spanish Pizza too. Particularly the side-dish of a special salad. The actual pizza was good too though.
What is Spanish pizza?

Eh, it's all subjective, ya :) I personally love their breakfast pizza slicess so much, I ordered a whole sausage/egg breakfast pizza one night instead of a meat galore. Now -that- was a mistake because I ate so much I got sick...

You should try their taco pizza. It's not bad.
