Political Philosophy discussion

I believe if people were ever aware that they did not possess individuality
Each and every one of us is unique. Similar to each other and made in the image of Creator. But still: unique.
That's why marxism is a lie. It says every person is the same as any other one.

To the individual people living within your C2C playthrough having to suffer from everything you do, no.
...thus causing them to suffer endlessly without consent.
I don't want to know what you do in your games
In my games I'm trying to create a good country and live in peace with everybody. Until there is no room to expand :)

Speaking of real life, there is a Creator, and there are His creations.
Who made Creator though?
Its simulation hypothesis using modern terms.

Even if God just started universe with simple rule set (mathematics, physics), it means someone already was there, with resources and skillset needed to start universe.

Which is ultimately what I think the tale does well - is to show that morality MUST be to some extent at least somewhat subjective, though I'm not sure it's a proven in even this scenario.
I haven't read it, but if you are correct in your assumption of what that tale does well - I don't even want to read it. Because it is obviously false. Another cultural marxism. Marxism was made to subvert and destroy foundations of christian society. And it did very well, looking at the contemporary time.

But in fact morality is absolute. It is objective. It is independent of "culture" or "another point of view". It is either black or white, it is never grey.
We have our Commandments. Live accordingly.

Religious capitalist democracy with some state welfare system and very strong church welfare system?

I wonder how they fixed bugs with state, capitalism and religion :D

Of course all other universes are fictions
Have you delved into quantum physics? Observer's effect?

Every fiction is fiction, so spirituality, religions and conspiracy theories technically count as work of fiction - assuming our universe is purely bottom-up - physics eventually let intelligence to happen.
Why assume something like this? It is obviously wrong assumption.
This is the reason why we have Newtonian physics, physics of elementary particles, physics of universe, quantum physics. They all have different rules.
Because our world is obviously not purely bottom-up - physics.

Works of fiction have top-down rules, since its creators usually dictate what happens in them.
And here we arrive to "If your God is so loving, why He allows suffering?"
Well, where to begin...
I'll keep it short and as normie-friendly as possible.

So here is why:
1. It's all Eve's fault.
Done. That's all there is to it.

Alright, not at all. Adam had a free will after all. Anyway, a man sinned and was punished.

2. God just wants to see how far it goes.
You can understand his fascination after you look at Conway's Game of Life. Because we are made after His image.

Wait a minute! If he is God, he is omniscient!
Well, he is. And omnipotent.
He DOES know all possibilities of the game. In the same way as a chess grandmaster knows every move of every piece.
However.
God gave a man free will. God made a more complicated game, than chess. His game plays itself :)

If you go by random chance, then you are most likely to reincarnate as virus or bacteria.

Simpler organisms are exponentially more common than complex ones.
So you will spend >99% of time being some simple virus, bacteria, maybe plant, insect or fungi, unless souls have access to admin console, while not attached to some lifeform - synthetic or natural.
Or there is single soul, that uses all available accounts doing universal MMO with itself?

Also open individualism being true thing in MCU would be funny, especially during The Snap.

According to Open Individualism you are Donald Trump too :D
Exactly. Such theories are funny, because obviously false.
There is a one good truth, though. Has done us good so far. And each and every time we diverted from it we caused pain and suffering to ourselves and everything around us.

We don't experience moral outrage at the billions of sperm that die and never get a chance at life
Stop. Read again what you wrote.
They die. It means they live. One has to live to be able to die.
You mean they were unable to procreate? Well, tough luck. That's life.

Therefore you don't need the opposite of pleasure for there to be pleasure. Rather you would be able to feel or be unable to feel. Pleasure would be feeling.
Man... Really?

In order to be able to feel, one must have senses.
If one has senses, he is able to experience a range of feelings. Ranging from "bad" to "good". And it is subjective!
And yes, it correctly assumes, that if a person never had "objectively bad" experience, he would consider "objectively minor good" experience as "subjectively bad". Simply because he ONLY has better experiences to compare it to.
Hense "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche".
So yes, one has to suffer to be able to be happy.

The definition of omnipotence is simply being all powerful. Nothing about omnipotence requires you to keep eternally creating. So he doesn't have to keep making things until bad inevitably shows up, he can just stop and make it only once.
This is correct.
And this is exactly what He did, as far as I understand. And from day 6 He just amuzes Himself with His living creation.

Except entertainment is just that - entertainment, and God is.
Why do you believe, that we have administrator, who may be more or less involved?

Are we playing Minecraft or what? :D

We will create some simple lifeforms, starting with bacteria and viruses.
Check.

We will eventually merge with technology - look at human mods buildings.
Almost check.

We will create completely new animals and plants. Those can be infused with technology too.
Check. Any GMO is a new kind of plant or animal.

And then it will spectacularly crash onto "would be creators". And they know it. That's why they build those seed vaults, where they store seeds made by God. And I bet they have sperm and eggs of every living creature made by God, to recreate them after spectacular collaps of their abominant play.

technically more advanced robots are lifeforms too
Since when?
Lifeform is a living organism, born by another living organism(s). It is being born, not made, into existance.
A life contains a spark of life from his/her ancestor. And from ancestor's ancestor. And so on, up to the God himself.

But what if machines are made complex enough were they do have souls? Then would there really be a distinction between those two?
RTFM. Soul is God's spark. It is neither intelligence, nor self-awareness.
Therefore your "what if" is completely irrelevant.

we have come to a point where MOST US citizens absolutely require a massive amount of help or they WILL be homeless and starving. This help doesn't make a person a 'ward' of the state, nor is it something any political party wishes upon anyone so as to make them useless drainers upon society
Man, you are so under- and mis-informed.
So, "we have come to the point". "Масло подорожало". It just that, happened? By the strange whims of cruel life, yes? Where is your God if he allows such suffering, yes?
If you speak Russian I would strongly suggest you to listen to "Concepts of public safety" lections by colonel Petrov. Soviet and then Russian officer. He and his colleagues have recorded series of lectures which clear understanding of life perfectly. Since I listened to them I never ever say anything like "we have come to the point". Because in reality it is always "they have brough us to the point". And we even know who they are.

Also, I suggest you educate yourself about other man-made crisises, like Great Depression and others, when banksters robbed people of property.

People, you have no idea what is happening right now. It is a collapse such magnificient and huge, it was never before! And YOU WILL BE JUDGED. And we all will have to go trough suffering. Though it will be not even close to suffering of the people who had to live through World War 1 or 2. But they are preparing famine for all of us. And tyranny. This one would be like never before. With all the new technology.
Have I piqued your interest?
Educate yourself on cultural marxism, UN Agenda 21, UN Agenda 2030, ID 2020. You'll find your way from there ;)

But in CRApitalism we all have for a century now, they are "too big to fail". And "we must save them to avoid total collapse".
This actually does still make some sense why we do this too - because 'too big to fail' really means an economic black hole will be created when THAT much of our economy is wiped out - infrastructures fail, supply chains fail, people starve and die, the system completely collapses because of the failure of a few load bearing walls of our system. Obviously, it would be 'correcting' to let those fail when they deserve to, even 'just', but we also can't let it happen without just giving up on everything our entire system is accomplishing, namely our collective survival.

Generally, however, you're right about crony capitalism - that's what the GOP is all about. Unless you're Sarah Pailin.

In a nutshell, it is called private property. Meaning ability to possess something and keep produce of your labor to yourself for using it as you please.
Socialists, to their credit, do seem to want to draw a line where you do have private property. They just don't think a person should be able to sublet property or hire other people. Their goal seems to be taking away power one person has over another. I don't think that's actually possible because some'one' will always be calling shots somewhere because a completely democratic economy can't make decisions fast enough to avoid ruin.

Meaning, if there is a "government" which "serves and protects", there will appear individuals who will currupt it into becoming a slave owner.
And if you give all the power to private entities it happens even faster and is much harder to eliminate. I trust private citizens much less than any elected officials beholden to their electorate. The only real problem with either is when power becomes too centralized around money and too few have too much of that and the legal capacity to use it to influence policy decisions.

Why depopulation? We must celebrate true renewal. People will have to adapt and even go hugry for a while, but "depopulation" will not happen. Unless it is artifically made. As right now, for example.
What's artificial is our ability to maintain the population we have. If our systems fail most of us would die.

Precisely. I like Sweden in this regard. They have started long ago properly: by educating their children into Lagom philosophy. Now they can enjoy meaningful and happy lives without rat race for "more, I WANT MORE!!!" bullfeathers. An yes, after certain limit they tax away all income from a person who for some reason didn't understand and embrace Lagom. I'll support this any day of the week.
And Sweden is also a great example of a balance between capitalism and socialism in practice.

Only if it is voluntary. At no circumstance should any "government" of any kind take care of charity.
Completely disagree - the government should be the only ones with the authority to determine what systems to benefit people are in most need of funding. We must have centralized strategic planning of these things or it's not only chaos, its wasteful. Our current system of 'charity' is mostly a scam to redirect the money donated to profiteers anyhow.

more later.

Of course this prediction won't happen.
Christian conservatives won't be sent to gulags.
 Of course not! For Christ sake! Who could even think about such nonsense? :crazyeye:
Re-education camps, maybe? No?
Internment camps? No, it has a negative connotation, too.
Oh, I know! COVID-19 isolation facilities! Yes! This is much better! For safety!

Everyone may be judged by being hateful towards some groups of people though.
F..k yeah! Hate is BAD!

No reason to hate groups of people, if no one tells you to hate them though.
Exactly! Unless you are told to hate by authorities, and you are told that you will be a good person if you HATE THAT NAZI SCUM!!!

Wow. Man. What a marvelous example of everything that is wrong with our society. Thank you for it. Thank you!

Maybe scared people are easy to control?
Maybe because rich people don't want accountability, responsibility and high taxes?
Maybe. :) Or maybe you are just a tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist? :mischief:

There is tons of difference between democratic socialism and authoritarian socialism or communism.
Precisely 0 (zero, none) difference.
[Any kind of] socialism: "public" holds property rights and dictates rules for life.
In reality there is no "public". It is always a small group of people. Slaveowners.

No one wants authoritarian or totalitarian socialism
This is a plain lie. Just look at what they are pushing right now. There is definitely a group of people who are pushing "sustainable development" and other "for all the good against all the bad" sound-good-words.
But in fact their plan is in 2030 YOU, I point at YOU @raxo2222, "WILL OWN NOTHING, and you will be happy". Search for this phrase. It is there in plain view.
Will you be happy, though?

WWIII won't happen when you have reasonable quality of life for everyone, and when you have reasonable foreign policy.
It is a good chain of fortunate events that Joe has started to actively normalize USA relations with China, right?
Oh. Wait.
Those harsh words and fleet in China sea, and Chinese airplanes over it... Don't look like normalization to me. Probably I'm looking at them at the wrong angle :mischief:

Build rail network so people can easily travel from one to other state. Maybe there could be more economic policy freedom for states
Wow, wow! WOW! Wait up there!
Do you want to return to new normal or not? There is the pandemic going on!
And what about carbon footprint?
And why make all the same mistakes AGAIN? We must build back better!

I'm too libertarian
For real? :undecide:

regulations to control people are bad, regulations to increase quality of life are good.
Right on point! And regulations for public good! And for public safety!

For real though, have you devized a plan to regulate whatever without controlling people? One can do that?

Good quality of life is best cure for extremism, ignorance, hate and anti-intellectualism.
Funny fact time!
Among most prominent islami... Well, one religious extremists are people from wealthy, prominent, well educated families. Most notably one Osama bin Laden. But there are many others. Don't take my word for it, search for yourself.

Turning USA to Belarus, Venezuela, Iran, China or other authoritarian country would take another 50-100 years, unless rich people can speedrun it.
2030. That's the planned date.

True Judgement as in apocalypse would be extremely authoritarian thing to do.
Higher Authority doesn't prefer any religion (too many to choose from at first place) - how you pray isn't important
One true God.

Exodus 20:3
You shall have no other gods before Me.

Investing in education and research is best way to grow your population in long term.
Man, are you even following the life around you recently?
I strongly suggest you immediately start educating yourself from this lection, made by a prominent businessman, respected philanthropist, and very insightful person, a prophet, really, which we ignored at our own peril, mister William Henry Gates III.
Start watching from the timestamp provided. And listen and watch VERY carefully. If you do, you will learn a couple of very important points:
1. To set carbon emissions to zero, one of the values, which are: 1) population, 2) services per person, 3) energy per service, 4) CO2 per unit of energy, must go to zero.
2. "Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, healthcare, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent".

Are you listening carefully, @raxo2222?
WHAT? THE? BEST? WAY? TO? GROW?!!!! POPULATION?
