poll: how much ice do you put in your drinks?

The way the store does it, ice takes up ~75% of the volume of the cup. So I should only have to pay ~25% of the price.

That usually doesn't fly so I just go with no ice. Otherwise, just a few blocks.

It's winter time, what idiot would put ice in his drinks?

Also. PSA: People who drink iced tea are evil monsters, wearing human skinsuits until they show their true colours.

Usually, none -- unless I've just made a gallon of tea and it's still hot. Even at stores, the soda that comes out of fountains is cold. Ice just means less drink.

For harder drinks, I almost always drink whiskey, scotch, gin, and such neat. The only thing I have to mix is rum, and I don't use ice for that.

I'm going to back Lohrenswald here, dispensed (fountain) soda is absolutely disgusting, no matter where it comes from it's always, always, always flat.

Speaking of flat, I never ice any soda because IT MELTS AND MAKES IT FLAT AND WATERY. If you ice your soda, what's the point? It comes out cold anyway.

I will ice sweet tea, or lemonade, etc. - about 20% or less usually.

At a fast food joint soda/pop/coke machine - 1 to 2 ice cubes
At a fast food joint when I order from a person - no ice please
At home when I drink a soft drink - no ice unless the pop wasn't in the fridge and is warm, in which case all the ice
At home when I drink whiskey - no ice, just a cold metal ball. Ice gets in the way of the flavour. Cold ball is weird but it works.

I don't drink sodas. But at home in the summer, I will drink bottled lemon or orangeade. If the bottle is warm, then I will fill my glass with crushed ice to cool it and dilute the flavor.

Eating ice is a symptom of anemia.

I tolerate one ice cube in whiskey because its somewhat strange put whole bottle to fridge. Otherwise I hate ice in drinks. The worst experience was in McDonalds, where they gave me ice with cola by default.

REDY, you should buy these.. well, I use these metal balls I freeze and put in my whiskey to keep it cold. Ice cubes dissolve and dilute the flavour. Balls are much better. edit: I found the balls, here they are. Some people use stones, but those always make my whiskey taste funny.

I put a lot of drink in my ice.
