Running this for the first time in a long-time in 43 civ game; first time seeing the new effects and using the assignstartingplots override. Its a great mod, thank you!

I think small galapagos should be passable, costing 2 moves, rather than impassable. Or does it become passable later? i am only in medeival

Units will look weird on it. That's why it's impassable.

Test it and give me some feedback.

Is it working with 43civ? I do not remember updating it, only regular eui file.

yes it works without problems, i have been playing with 43 players and a lot more of mods, for at least the start of this year
 
yeah as we discussed a long time ago i've been wary of the assignstartingplots.lua mods, but after reviewing all your updates here in this thread, felt I had to give it another look. Glad I did! it works great, I don't use EUI just vanilla UI w/ 43-civ. Also did the effects update, highly recommend, the luminescent bay looks really cool, bermuda triangle too. I had a problem with textures not showing up right with dx9 but its all fine in dx10/11, everything works well from a normal play perspective. I especially enjoy how this mod helps vary terrain in coast/ocean a little more -- vanilla and mainbranch VP is so bland at sea.

I see your point about boats maybe sitting right on top of the islands rather than steering around them as we'd like, but is this any worse than boats cruising right through the walls of fortresses/citadels and across water-less land tiles? I think it would fall well within acceptable visual abstraction, and the small galapagos has so much water its also weird visually that you can't enter them. I will make some sql customizations here and there, maybe, like with small galapagos -- will upload here after I've got a full game's worth, maybe some screenshots too.
 
I've never had this problem personally. And I play with it all the time.
Are you sure it's this mod?
to clarify on my end at least, I just assumed when I saw APLion mention it -- I've been getting some game load/exit to main CTD, but its a minor inconvenience really, have enabled a few new mods recently including this one so not sure which is to blame, really
 
Reminder that this mod still crashes on load/restart
Every heavier mod (MW, MUC) crashes with latest VPs. Report on github VP. For some people even clean VP crash on load.

Do you mean @N.Core modified Version or the original? These crashes happened to me too while playing modified tectonic but i haven‘t actuallly tried any other map yet

I was doing tests on Continents map. Same CTDs. It looks like the memory is lacking.

I don't think so. When I disabled this mod, it works just fine with several restart testing. Just don't expect to run stable with big map setting.
 
Works fine for me on Huge communitas (so far!)

Just found the Galapagos Islands hiding out in the middle of nowhere. So adorable! What incredible models these are!
Be careful. Do not step on the tortoise!
