What is your opinion on Flavoured Help Texts unique for More Wonders mod?

  • I like them and I use them every game

Of course. Just disable all WWs in configuration file. You will find instruction inside and in the op.

Unfortunately you currently cannot play the opposite config.

I disabled all the added wonders as you said in the OP, but I would also like the original wonders to just be like how they are normally. I'm not a fan of the terrain requirements and would just like some more natural wonder variety. Is that possible and could you please point me in the right direction?

Exactly. You cannot turn off NW now. Also you cannot turn off requirements now (without manual deleting them in files which would be time consuming).
Moreover, NWs are tough to add and there're major problems with graphics, even in current ones. I have a plan for one more, but mostly I would like to correct previous first. Maybe @pineappledan, who was trying to play with 3D graphics on his own will be able to help me. This is beyond my possibilities now, especially, when I'm doing other non-civ projects in parallel.

I will try to modify XP as soon as possible, and surely will look at Damascus and Jinete.
I was playing in peace, finishing just another wonder. Then my speakers jell ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED! Spooked me properly :D

You might want to have look at Sanbo, in my game it gave Kamikadze promotion to all civilians as well :) I have also found some more typos/errors in the Promotion Overhaul, will summarise them later.

Can you check how it is possible? It looks like it just ignored the MinAreSize factor and as I can see in the pic also River factor.

Someone deleted the MinAreaSize check inside the DLL. That's why you'll find that you can build Lighthouses, Harbours, etc at lake cities now as well. I'll fix it later.

I know I'm kinda late here, but that change to allow lighthouses, harbors, etc. to be built in landlocked lake cities seems intentional to allow the city to function as a coastal city in the event that a city/fort/citadel functions as a canal connecting it to the
ocean or if you want to establish a connection without roads between landlocked lake cities sharing the same lake, as a user explained here.

Hi, I am a big fan of this mod, but I need some help... I am not able to view either the wonders for the latest eras or the natural wonders...
I am using the latest version of this mod and VP, and I even downloaded and compiled the Git Hub version, with the same result. I have additional mods installed, is there eny known incompatibility I should be aware of? Should I change any options in the mod files after installing it? I have read most of this thread but I can't fidn anything that helps me understand whats going on....

I didn't play with anything later than VP 1-15? So there might be soe incompatibilities around. Even More Resources was incompatible for a long time.
  • There's for sure AssignStartingPlots.lua file that has to be update because VP released new version, but my mod override it with older so it should be no problem with gameplay. Just older version in use.
  • There are also small nonimprotant issues I want to fix soon, but I have no time for that recently.
Beside that, I just downloaded latest VP 4-14 and compiled latest MWfVP and everything looks fine. There are NWs generated and I could build Millau Viaduct for example.

I use VP with EUI. Maybe this is an issue?

About incompatibility I cannot say without the list of your mods. Some mods need to be prepared or loaded in correct order to work with MWfVP.
 
Thanks for you reply Adan. I will test each mod one by one, and report back which mod can be causing the conflict with MWfVP.
 
Hi again. I just started new game only with VP (16-4 version with EUI) and only with MWfVP and Wonder Planner mod activated. I deleted cache folder contents.
I have confirmed that in game i can onl have access to wonders added by this mod up to Renaissance era. Industrial and later eras only present base VP wonders. I can't also see Natural Wonders....
I know this is not normal, since i have not found anyone reporting similar reports on the this thread... Any thoughs of can go wrong? I am already enjoying the mod this way, but having all additional assets available would be great.
[EDIT] I've removed this mod and used the Wonders Expanded mod (no other mods enabled), and i have no issues with that one, i can see all wonders for all eras, event the latest ones, so I am clueless.

Can you post some screenshots from Wonder Planner (with information era enabled from popup list), database.log and lua.log when you have the game launched? Info how to prepare logs are in google. Maybe I will see something in there.

Without that, I have no clue. Maybe deleting whole mod folder and installing everything from scratch?



Anyone has the same problem or maybe an idead what can cause that? I would appreciate any support.
 
Hey, Aden. I am using your mod with passion. Yet I'm just wondering why lakes are considered as coasts? Inland cities with lakes attached don't get to build wonders that require coasts be absent. For example, mohejo from ancient world requires coasts be absent yet if you have any sort of Lake, you can't build it :(

Playing with More Wonders (v 0.10) & Wonder Planner (v 8)
Recently, opening the Wonder Planner: it is empty. Zero wonders listed. (Sorry no screen capture. Nothing to see, anyway.) Changing the popup selector has no effect.

Hi again. I have finally been able to get the mod fully enabled for all eras. I am not really sure what did the trick.

My best guess is that I was using a really old version of Even More Resources Mod (i had v5), and, from what I read on its thread, it could conflict with your mod.

What I can not really understand is how this still happened when I tested only with your mod (and VP) enabled. For that test, I deleted cache folder and even reinstalled the game from Steam.
Anyway, it was, as expected, a problem on my end, and it is now solved.

Wonder Planner updated to v9. They reworked database fields for espionage and that's why it was crashing.
How about Trade Opportunities and the Spy icon in City-States view?
 
It's only 20 xp per work of music in that wonder itself. Still very good tho.
Yeah, Wartburg has the same issue. And 10 xp seems too rough, prolly just put it down to 15. It does have the somewhat annoying aspect of it being music works that are needed when you don't get the musician's guilds until Acousticts.
First - I also put my vote for halving XP from Wartburg and Marae Arahurahu
Second - what exactly -1 policies in Roman Forum requirements means?
Third - I like Forge of Damascus wonder and their promotion Damascus Steel, but Jinete now seems underpowered, consider maybe giving it to ranged mounted as well?

  • Decreased Marae XP to 15 per GW and Wartburg to 5 per GW.
  • Added info in description that it requires GW inside the wonder.
  • Added info that Forum needs 1 policy less;
I feel like the Cavalry bonus should just be removed from FoD, it's far too strong as it is IMO.
  • Decreased Forge of Damascus bonus to 10% from 20% to be less overpowered and more comparable to Jinete.

It should be assigned only to helicopters, bombers and fighters. There are no civilians mentioned in the code. Anyone has the same issue?

Does this mean Wonder Planner V9 will no longer work with any VP version which predates the new DLL with the new espionage system? The official version for download is still the December version and I'm concerned updated modmods won't work with it.
