Pre-GodNES

well... flat with edges you fall of to your death would be the finest ideal since if there are gods... might as well make the greeks right in everything :p

OOC: But the Greeks don't exist, WE decide all the rules. I think if it's flat everything that goes "off" should fall up :smug:

Disclaimer: Subject to what is being spoken about in the P.Ms, which to some extent contradicts this.

I don't want to spend the DI on making the whole river fertile, but otherwise the proposal on that map is completly compatible with my intentions. I don't mind it being fertile if anybody else could be bothered, in fact I'd prefer it, but I won't spend the DI.

Ok, that's fine. Do you want it to be fertile around all your villages? I will just get rid of the fertile areas to the north of that.

Attached is the most recent map.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Creation
These are the areas I created.
Expanded an area of forest towards Gillibada's realm.
Created the river up until it crosses into the grassy area.
Village of 100 people, called Thrick - the one on the river
Village of 100 people, called Fornheim - the one in the Northwest.
Village of 100 people, called Upsgard- the one in the Northeast
I will make the forest bountiful and full of deer and rabbits and birds etc, for my people to hunt.
I will then spawn a Winter Hare in the forest, it will wander close to the villages and when it reaches each one, a man will see it and interpret it as a blessing, these men will become my first disipcles and teach the villagers of me. The Hare will tell them that the tribes are welcome to stay and hunt as long as they respect and worship Kol and the pantheon. It tells them of a door at the top of the mountain, that it is the entrance to Kol's realm, and one day, the most faithful will be summoned there, to hunt and feast for eternity in the afterlife. (something that would appeal to my followers.)
Teach my people to hunt and the people of Thrick and Upsgard to fish using nets made of flexible twigs.
OCC: Just to clarify, Palorim is not on the same physical plane as rest of the world. It is, afterall, a physical body of land/water created by Aecles in the Underworld (Abyss).
But the enemy's gate is "down". :p
ORDER AMENDMENTS:
I will spend half my DI on helping to make the map to Kol.7's specifications, a quarter on making the humans go to war with each other, and a quarter on teaching them agriculture.
TO: Khaza, Darnang
I am the Lord of Hosts, Eternal Judge, and Divine Arbiter, ab-kal ilâni bêl terêti, the King of Kings. If you wish to reside in my House, this can be arranged, as a stand is made against the Adversary in the South who wills naught but destruction.
Do we have an agreement?
if so, PM me (and include the other in the PM)
Seeing no gods of good bent, I hereby create another god, and abolish the old. Unless you want to keep him as an NPC, which you are, of course, welcome to do.
Gender: Male
Description: Created with the construction of the first building, Arktos began as god of Architecture and Construction. The development of Hospitality and Community greatly expanded his role, allowing him to absorb Law and Order into his portfolio.
Characteristics:
-
Intervention:
Duties: Construction, Judgment, and Punishment
-
Influence:
Followers:
Heroes:
-
Realm: Reached rather simply by entering the Temple of Arktos within Araent, the city of Arktos. Its size is enormous, much larger than the Temple that, supposedly, contains it. It has no name, and is filled with examples of 'perfect' construction and 'perfect' order; at least, perfect in the eyes of Arktos. Mortals often visit Arktos' realm seeking his judgment or looking for assistance.
-
Creatures
Name: Pylos
Description: Servants of Arktos that are used as mobile and semi-sentient construction equipment, found under the command of Arktos' followers. They appear in many shapes, and can change their form to suit the construction and building needs of those who command them.
Cost: 1 DI
Creation to come later today, if I have the time. Otherwise, sometime this week will be the best I can do for an ETA.
i think a flat world would be OK, but i would prefer spherical.
Lord of llama
I queen of beauty and lust, Amadea, will send sprinkles of love to the people who worship you so they would love each other and love you. I will expect a temple in my name to be there, not less beautiful then yours. It is your duty to make sure they know of my existence.
Thanks you gracious Amadea, i shall ensure that my people recognise you as my equal, and worship you to the degree that you deserve. a temple in honour of you shall be constructed on the North western island of New Llamopia, in the fertile plains therein, with marble bridges spanning between the islands so that our followers may pray to us at will. this may take some time, but i assure you, it will come to pass post haste.
The temple of Amaeda in New Llamopia is one of magesty, simplicity and elegance beyond the normal meanings of the words. it is the greatest garden in all the world, with hundreds of exotic species of plants, and thousands of delicate, strangely alluring flowers. the garden is such that if one were to enter it, they would find it quite difficult to leave willingly as it is so peacful and beautiful. At the centre of the garden, resting in a calm lake is the temple building itself: a simple circular building with a domed roof held aloft by many columns. within this building is a statue of such beauty that nothing in the mortal world could ever compare to it, this is a statue of Amaeda herself. A single marble bridge so built to looks as delicate as silk, but strong as the sturdyest walkway joins the gazebo to the lake shore.
something along the lines of this (but obviousl much more beautiful):
The Great Llama would like to request the aid of Arktos, god of construction, to help with the construction of this wonder, as he recognises that for a true work of art beautiful enough for Amaeda, Arktos must have his hand in its creation.
Haa... That temple sounds so beautiful, almost as I am. I think I may even take place in it at times. May love fall upon you and your creations.
Do we have a goddess/god of death yet? I think fire was already taken.
Ka (Kah, Kach)
-----
The God of Power (both as in energy and as in brute force), Ambition and Destruction, who coincidentally happens to be destructive, ambitious and powerful. Destruction and rebellion.
Namar
-----
A god of Chance and Mischief, he never appears in actual form within the mortal realm, preferring to possess individuals, animals, or inanimate objects through which to exercise his will. Manatane
-----
The manatee of all things, of things known and unknown, of worlds explored and unexplored, of grass grazed and ungrazed, of followers eaten, of oceans manateeized, and of xenophobic Manateeism.
The Manatane is a vengeful force. It is spoken that the Manatane was created when the celestial grazing grounds were disrupted, driven mad by this lack of edible fodder and needing to consume huge amounts of fodder to survive, the Manatane went bad, it devoured everything in its celestial wander. It is said that the dark gulf in the sky was caused when the Manatane devoured the lights of heaven.
It is said that the Manatane devoured a whole world, engulfing it in its great gullet finding this world oddly filling, the Manatane managed to pick a sliver from its teeth, looking in confusion and wonder it noticed strange life forms moving realising that these beings could fill it the Manatane decided to spare them (at least until it was hungry). This is how the Cult of Manateeism came into being, driven mad by the constant threat of being devoured the Manateites took to instead substituting others for themselves to feed in insatiable Maw of Manatane.
The Great Llama
-----
The Great Llama has no real name. He is from an otherworldly plane that exists parallel to this, and he has dominated it since its first creation. Now, having perfected that realm he has turned his sights on another dimension. The Great Llama is a God of the Mind, of intelligence, creativity, insanity, domination, emotions, justice and chaos. His Divine Symbol is the Llama, as it is these creatures have wisdom and intelligence far beyond that of the real mortals, being the physical representatives of the Great Llama, they are able to communicate telepathically and use their minds to manipulate their surroundings in any manner.
Aecles
-----
First of the world's entity to "die". He waited a long time, alone until the next "dead" came. This new "dead" was lost within the Underworld, otherwise known as Palorim, so Aecles became his guide in the world of the dead. As more and more souls came in, he re-created the Palorim, reigning as the God of the Dead.
=========================
Kol the Undying
-----
God of Winter and hunting. Once well known in a distant world as the immortal leader of a vast empire and great armies gathered from every corner of the world, untill one day the jealous barbarians of the north launched a suprise attack capturing his hidden temple of Wau. Angered at this treachery Kol left the world, and since he left the stories say, the whole world has frozen under a sheet of unmelting ice.
-----
Kol the Undying is responsible for winter, he controls its length and weather. Although he is generally a benevolent God he has been known to anger, particularly when he thinks others are conspiring against him or that people are losing faith. The general outcome of this is that whole regions are covered under a thick sheet of ice, that'll teach 'em. Small sacrifices often take place in his temples at the beginning of winter, in the hope that He will make it a mild one. Admires humanity for their resourceful-nes, he has been know to defend them when he feels they are in danger.
=========================
Gillibaba
-----
The god of gems, precious metals, gadgets, invention, curiosity, golems, enchantment, and all things that shine and sparkle or go tick or tock. His only desire is to create ever grander and more elaborate contraptions; whether they serve a meaningful purpose is negligible. His preferred earthly form is that of his favorite creature, a gnome. He will also commonly take the form of an irritatingly hyper winged-imp or a giant golem made of rock and iron.
-----
The inspiration of invention, harnessing of the earth, and breathing life into golems.
=========================
Jagannatha
-----
God of Telekinesis, Light (energy), Inspiration and Justice. He is a very untypical character, being rather short and but is usually one with a good, benevolent, but also feisty nature. He did also rarely have a dark side though, he would be at times judgmental, and when angry would give little mercy to those who offend him. He also wasn't the most social god and preferred to be alone with his pack of dogs who he closely associated with.
-----
He often protected the poor, inspired heroes, provided light to the darkness and levitated those who offended him or to rescue people from danger. He also is able to create powerful beams of light that can incinerate mortal creatures.
=========================
Soltalos Lord of the Sun
-----
Soltalos is a male God of the Sun. He is kind and he is also a God of Honor and Enlightenment and if no one else wants them Charity and Kindness. He is kind and good-natured but when moved to angry he is terrible to behold. He is a 'good' god but of cause there can be no true definition of good because good is an opinion and thus anything could be good. He is kind to his followers and tries to protect them if he can.
-----
Ensuring vows are kept, punishing those who break vows, making Light (as in solar light and wisdom enlightenment) and if no one else wants them making sure there is kindness and charity in the world. Making the Sun rise and set.
=========================
Szok
-----
Shoz is a being borne of thought, one of the oldest gods. Shoz brought humanity the gift- and curse- of their minds. Now wandering the world on the currents of thought, this God of the Mind aids those who seek knowledge above all else.
-----
Holding all Knowledge
Arktos
Construction, Judgment, and Punishment
so far as I know that is what we have so far.
To: The Great Llama
From: Arktos, God of Construction
I am more than happy to assist you with your Temple, as it is my duty to oversee the construction of all great works of architecture.
EDIT: Namar no longer exists, assuming that it is not kept around as an NPC. I believe there is already a god of death.
To: Manatane, Feaster of Worlds
From: Gillibaba, Lord of Stone, on behalf of Kol the Undying and Darnang the Warlike
We three northern gods implore you to spread your Greatest Ocean. We hope that in spreading it around the domains of Gillibaba, Kol, Darnang, Llamatopia, and Dur-Sharrukin. Additionaly we ask that you create from this great ring a spur northward to the frigid northern pole, create to the east of Llamatopia and to the west of my own lands and those of Darnang. It is our hope that your Greatest Ocean will swallow up and devour any would-be enemies who attempt to cross it. We believe it more desirable an end for them to meet their end in your great belly than on our fields where they would spread fire and destruction. As you know fire and destruction also consume, and that which they consume, you cannot.
I believe there is already a god of death.
They call him "Aecles".
to Arktos god of construction
You have made me happy. And I shall shower you with all the women that would please you. The more beautiful you will make my temples the more beautiful women that will follow you with passion!
:D
To: Jagannatha
From: Soltalos
Jagannatha will you ally with my other ally Zamorak. He is a God of Fire and seems to be honorable.He is a friend. So I ask you shall we form a triumvirate of gods.
(Slavic Sioux and Yui 108 how will we communicate with PMs or e-mails or are you going to teach me how to use an instant messenger.)
Yes I will agree to that. But if eathier of you need to communicate it will have to be by PM.
By the way, does anyone have any ideas as to what should be done to unfilled areas?
What about burning lava seas with bridges of diamond between the formed islands?
How about just some nice, empty forests and grasslands? Always much nicer than anything else.
Until everyone is done spending their initial creation points and an official map update is made, I think it should remain void/blank slate.
